I've had my BT CC on my truck since 2014 and it has no leaks. Very happy with it and its survived 4 New England winters and counting and it still looks brand new. I have the clear coat version.

I too must admit that until buying my Ram and reviewing this site had never heard of a catch can or what it was for. I'm now thinking of adding the BT one from Moe's, do they ever run specials or discounts? I may hold off until then if so.

The stamping on the hose is "DOT AIR BRAKE 12.5 mm SP (1/2" SP) SAE j1402 A. Seems heavy duty to me. I also want to thank Matt @ MOE's for the help.
I'd be liery of the airbrake hose, that's not ment for fuel or oil, plus if it's a plastic hose will get brittle over time. Should be using a hose that's compatible with gas and oil.

The longer you hold out for a few $$ for a sale the more gunk gathers inside your intake plenum [emoji1303]

From what I've been reading, a CC can only be installed on a new Ram?

I don't think I asked my question correctly...I know the catch can can be used on all vehicles with a PCV.

Does a CC have to be installed when a vehicle is brand new or say under 3000 miles? I ask because it doesn't seem like anyone is installing one on a higher mileage vehicle.

Gotcha [emoji106]

Sooner the better imo.
I didn't install mine until about 20 k , I installed my wife's OCC on her 16 Challenger at about 900 total miles [emoji16]

It's never too late imho [emoji106][emoji2532]

And the 6.4L Hemi is plumbed internally as well.

Oh swell. Still considering getting a 06 CC and installing on my 03. Would only need to run longer lines from oil fill to CC and from intake cover to CC. Your take

Can't go wrong with an OCC , try to mount the cc level or below the pcv [emoji106]

125,000 on my ram with NO catch can and still going strong.
I don't doubt that Sir . Your right in the area when you would be reeping the benefits of an OCC . The degradation of acceleration , mpg , smooth idle and shifting from reverse to drive is a very gradual one .

If you understand what an OCC does then it's an elementary decision to have one .
If someone argues that they aren't beneficial ( not saying you are ) then that someone just doesn't understand what an OCC does .
Having an OCC is just better than not having one , especially if you intend on keeping your vehicle for a long time imo.

^^^To RLK point. My 03 5.7 with 230k is showing "some" blow by. Once a month I remove the plenum cover and clean out the oil. Now,,,how much is till getting into my TB and intake valves. By finding a way to install a CC on the 03 system I "believe" I can divert that bow by to the CC. The air coming out of the CC should not have oil residue going into the TB. Will have to see if this will work.
