If you have already installed the CarPlay app, connect your Android Phone with a USB connection, when you see the usb message "charging" on the screen, tap that and change it to "MIDI". Uconnect will then recognize your phone and you will get a CarPlay icon on the lower edge of the screen. That lets you use the carplay apps from within uconnect, such as Waze or Google Maps.

I personally prefer Google Maps as you can use offline maps with that that don't drain your data as Waze does. Sadly, Carplay does not work with Here Maps, which are even better offline.

Just to clarify to hopefully avoid some confusion CarPlay is for Apple Devices and Android Auto is for Android devices.

If you have an Apple device and have Waze installed it should show up on the screen. You may have to scroll to the right. If you don’t see it, launch Waze manually from your phone and set it up and it should open automatically on the UConnect screen.

My bad, sorry!

You are certainly right, I meant Android Auto (instead of CarPlay).

Only issue I’m having is a clunky type sound coming from the front driver side wheel area. You can barely feel it in the feet. Usually when the wheel goes over s bump or turning. Others have mentioned similar issues.

So what's the fix for this issue. I've seen several posts complaining, but didn't find anyone explaining the solution. Does it only happen with the air suspension?

I don’t have air suspension. 4x4 Laramie. With 1k in miles on it. Plan on taking it to dealer Monday.

Good question. I had it in, they said they couldn't identify any issue but re-torqued the suspension bolts anyway. Now it is noticeably less (so that obviously did something), but not gone entirely. I get that clunk once in a while when turning, especially when turning over uneven road.

I don't have air suspension, either.

Is anyone having an issue with CarPlay showing the wrong starting location when plugged in? Once I unplug it, it shows me the correct location. I know its not my iPhone because it works fine in other cars.

Same here on my Bighorn. First time I noticed it is when I was leaving the parking lot. There is a small lip when exiting the parking lot going onto the asphalt. I didnt think anything of it at first, but the clunk sound happens every time I exit the lot. Sometimes on turns but doesnt happen everytime though. Hopefully there is a fix.

I haven’t had that issue, but did notice that I had an update on my uconnect yesterday. Didn’t say exactly what it fixed.

Front passenger LED blinker went out on 2019 Ram Limited after 3 days of owning - dealer had to order an entirely new headlight array - no bulb replacement! It’s a warranty issue now...

Wow the whole assembly! I don’t regret not opting for the LED package now.

This is exactly the reason I purchased an lifetime extended warranty for reasons just like this! If you can, find out how much this assembly would have cost if you had to purchase it.

When I go above like 40mph and beer left on the road or freeway my steering is briefly stuck in that position (slightly turning left), does anyone have this or any idea what that might be?
