I bought this same size speakers on Amazon, the 3 ways not the 2. They are petty slick, match right up with the holes and sound pretty good, you just need a decent level of low pass cutoff and of turn the base way down or they'll sound distorted and wavey. Which works great for my country songs. You'll want a sub if you intend to listen to anything with a lot of bass.

Also, just be sure to double check your wiring. You have to splice the rear door speaker wires back together bypassing the amp if you decide to cut it out. If you might just be able to rip it off the speaker.

Yeah mine are the 3 ways too. They fit like a glove.... no probably more like a woman in a pair of leather tights lol. They do have just a smidge too much surface height, so the tweater posts push out a little on the door panels, but not to a detriment.

I don't have a factory amplifier, or even a factory deck for that matter. I was surprised that the PO even kept the factory wiring as cobbled-together as this "sound system" was when I got the truck. The dash top is gone, so he took surround sound satellites and just laid them in the gaps between the air ducting, then put a center channel speaker in front of the abs module cover, and threw a 4x6 speaker under the rear seat with no enclosure.

I've basically had to pull out all the speakers and start from scratch with the exception of the front and rear driver's side... which will be replaced soon also. The RF's are definitely a HUGE improvement over these stockers. I do plan on running all the speakers off a 4 channel amp, and adding a sub or two under the rear seat eventually. Just doing a little bit at a time for now when I have a few spare minutes to do anything, that is.

Nice, it's way easier without the stupid 'premium sound'. You'll have to post when you do your subs, I want to put some in mine but I really don't know what I'm doing with subs

I've been considering throwing in a set of JBL GTO939 and finding a decent set of speakers for the back. Although for that I'm leaning towards a speaker box considering that the most you can put in the rear of my 96 are 5 1/4 speakers.

It's gonna be a while before I do it, but I'll post it up for sure when it's done.

Those are really good speakers. You won't be sorry.

Replaced Power Brake Booster check valve with the correct one and replaced the hose as well. The previous owner just shoved a random one in there and stretched the hose out.

I replaced them to see if my loss of vacuum in the brake booster is check valve, brake booster or Master Cylinder related.

Take 2: Heard a scraping noise coming from under the hood of the truck yesterday and found the issue pretty quick.

The Problem itself. So I'll be driving my sister's '10 Grand Caravan to work until Thursday when I can get a new belt that bypasses the AC. Stuff never brakes until I'm broke.

The brake booster is also still an issue... I'm thinking that I may just replace it since it's OE anyway.

Do you know what belt you need to do that?

Yup. When my niece got the truck it didn't have an AC compressor on it. They ran a belt without AC. I'll do the same until I can afford to replace the compressor. It was a junk yard special that I couldn't talk them out of when they got it. It was my own fault for not bypassing it the second I bought it from her.

I just mean that the parts store "non-ac" belt for these is too short due to bracket differences on non ac equipped trucks.

Well ****, then I have no idea. :/

I guess I'll go the route of the A/C Delete Pulley until I can replace the A/C Compressor. That thing is shot anyway. I attempted to replace the rings where the lines bolt to the compressor a few summers back and the threads crumbled when I hand tightened it.

Here's 2 that are the correct length.

Also i think you MAY be able to use a Cherokee non-ac belt because they use a different power steering pump that forces the use of a longer belt than other models

Cool, thanks for the info. I see exactly what the problem is. The "without A/C" is approx 1.5 inches too short.

Turns out my local Autozone sells that Continental Belt for $28 and has it in stock. Thanks for the heads up. Also.. **** that bypass pulley.. I did some digging and didn't like half the stuff I saw about it.

Yeah, when I saw the instruction video that suggested using that spacer I decided that option was off the table.

People scoff at me for lifting the hood and giving a visual inspection and checking the fluids EVERY fill up.... well, sure enough, I lifted the hood today to check the fluids and saw that my coil to distributor wire had fallen out of the wire loom and was dangling so close to the exhaust that it melted the convoluted tubing off the plug wire.

All part of preventative maintenance.... I grenaded a transmission on my '88 GMC when I was 18 because I didn't check the fluids like my dad told me to. That was an expensive mistake, but it taught me the importance of preventative maintenance. The cliche rings true though, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"

For me I do it about every week, but I also don't drive all over creation in my truck. If I drove everywhere I would every fill up.

Thanks for the info dapepper9. I swapped the belt out and it runs great all things considered. Next step is to replace the replacement fuel pump. The one it is running now is a donor from a 97. I'm back at my old job with a pay raise and they moved to a closer location so I'm not driving 30 min to work everyday. Now it's 12-15 min.

I've always given my vehicle a look over on the weekends. Sometimes more often. This was the quietest bearing fail I've ever had on any part.
