body lift doesn't affect the ride. The bils do though I think it's a bit bouncier on the bils at 2.8 because you put sooooo much preload into the shocks. Ideally, I'd have a nice 4" BDS lift and bils at 1.4.

2016 1500, EcoDiesel 4x4. Very happy with level kit I had professionally installed at Woody Folsom in Baxley, GA. Tires are Toyo A/T 35x12.5x20. Factory 20” wheels. Took about half a day to get done. Road noise not too bad, not noticeable till at 60 mph+. Affecting MPG a bit, maybe 2-3 mpg

Did the level kit alone cost you the mpg loss ?

I'm going to say the 35x12.5 he put on also played a huge part in that. The level kit debate on mpg is still ongoing. There was a thread implicating the lift as disrupting airflow, thereby causing less than optimal drag/resistance on the aerodynamics of the truck

So I am curious. I see so many people on these forums discussing fuel mileage and loss of mileage due to upgrades and so on. My question is who really buys a 4x4 truck with a V8 to constantly be worried about fuel mileage? If I was truly concerned about fuel mileage I would buy a compact Hybrid or something. If I want to have a big truck that costs 50 grand and then put big tires and wheels on it with other off road options I surely am not going to constantly be fretting over the fuel mileage. Kind of like buying a corvette and putting a super charger on it and wondering if my fuel mileage is going to be affected. Just my 2 cents worth and curiosity.

I'm not sure anyone is complaining, as much as they are comparing notes.

Good Point. Just seems like a lot of time thinking about something like that. thanks for making that point though it makes sense as well.

I certainly didn't buy my truck for mpg. My wife cares more about my mpg than she cares about mpg in her Explorer. Not sure how/why that is.

1.4 Bilstein and 3" Body lift . I had a 1.5 BL but still didn't look like a 4x4 to me

hard to say because I had them both put on at the same time. I would say its probably more due to the tires being bigger, wider, and heavier than the stock tires I had. But man it looks so much better now. I was actually thinking about selling it prior I was so disappointed with the stock look. Not so anymore!

Bills at 2.8 aren't an ideal ride because of the preload?

not sure what you are asking? Ride is still fine, I don't really notice a difference. I don't have the air suspension, but I have heard those are trickier to do level kits on?
