Don't need longer bolts, but they could certainly use harder bolts.
1 because I can, 2 I wasn’t looking for any sympathy, just simply sharing this persistence/common problem with the truck. I’m well aware it’s not just with the ram trucks. Buy anyway, Thanks for your useless 2 centsSo, you bought a 7 year old vehicle with almost a 100k miles on it with no idea of the maintenance and you're going to blame the brand? Seems logical to me. Also, why share your thoughts here? I don't suspect you're going to get much sympathy. You might get some good laughs over on a Chevy forum.
Other than that, I don't care what anyone drives. To each there own. I'm certainly not brand loyal. I'll go with whatever model I like, meets my needs and gives me the best deal. For now, it's RAM. Depending on how the model looks , it may be a Ford in the future.

It should be here anytime, hoping and praying that will resolve the issueIlovemyramlaramie
When does your mechanic expect to get the drill jig? I'm curious to see if it works, I'm sure you are too.
Jesus, since when 92,000 is high mileage?OP stated, "Dodge ad a chance to grab a new coustomer from Chevy, but failed. " Grab a new customer? Did you spend any money with FCA? No, you didn't. The only person who had a "chance to grab a new customer" was the guy who sold you his well-used 92K mile truck, and your local auto parts store, where you will be spending money to keep a high-mileage vehicle on the road. I am always amused when someone buys a high-mileage used vehicle of any kind, then blames any failures on the brand without consideration for maintenance issues, normal wear/tear, etc.

We are hoping to do just that.As long as he or whoever drilling it out takes their time with it, it wont have to come off. Depends on the amount of room you have to work with and how much patience you have with it. Its when you go off center that you start to have problems.
Hope everything works out for you. I had this problem on my previous truck, a 2006 F150 with the 5.4L. Not a fun problem to have.
