What makes noise at highway speeds like exhaust drone?

I have a 17 RCSB 3.6. Everything is stock, except the tires are Goodyear Trailrunners (265/70/17). I take a 500 mile round trip once a quarter, this was my third one with my baby. I just hit 14k miles. Over the trip the past two days, it sounds like I have an exhaust drone while traveling highway speeds (50 to 70 mph. I did notice it went away when having to accelerate to maintain speed, or when not cruising in ECO mode.

Any ideas what could cause this? I had a 300c with a Magnaflow exhaust, and it sounds like the drone from it. But obviously I don't think the stock exhaust would have a drone sound, especially when it didn't before.

MDS would be my guess.

Yeah, I know it doesn't have MDS. I'm wondering if it's the tires, but it didn't do it for the first 13k miles. Also, I have 3.55 gears.

Yeah, I'm thinking if I rotate the tires, nothing will change. Not sure the purpose of that. I guess the good news is they need to be rotated anyway in 1500 miles. I will try that.
And I guess acceleration or the rpms going up could make the engine noise drown it out.
Thanks.

Nice reply. Why ask the question if this is how you're going to react anyways? Smh...

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude. I was just assuming it wasn't the tires, and it could be something else.

Not to mention, I wasn't sure how rotation of the tires would solve the noise issue, or make me aware that the tires are causing the issue.

Instead of rotating them just increase or decrease tire pressure & see if that changes the sound.

I wouldn't rule out exhaust drone, since you have 3.55s. I have the Pentistar in a Wrangler. I can see it'd be possible.

My truck did a lot of moaning and lugging with 3.55s. Then I got informed. Got 4.10s, and a tune. My truck is a lot happier now.

If you have the 8 speed, try running down the highway in 6 or 7th. My guess is just as bad as anyone else's.
