Really? do you think it is the tires or something was just a little too tight?

Im thinking its doing it in areo mode or more noticable and the 1500 miles it was sticking pretty good....now its hardly doing it @ 3300 miles......Tires or steering breaking in maybe? I thought I would wait and see @ 5000 miles if it goes away. How many miles have you got on?

oh Great! Congratulations! We should keep updated as we go to see if it may be a break in thing or not.:)
Sounds good, I am getting the dealer to spray my bed and I might have them look at it. I will let you know

Do you have lane assist. That will fell like the heel is stuck briefly

Good point on lane assist....I have it on 18 Scat Pack and the Brake assist and cannot stand it...lol...So never ordered it on the new truck.

Same here on my Bighorn. First time I noticed it is when I was leaving the parking lot. There is a small lip when exiting the parking lot going onto the asphalt. I didnt think anything of it at first, but the clunk sound happens every time I exit the lot. Sometimes on turns but doesnt happen everytime though. Hopefully there is a fix.

Update on noise. So when I turn left it makes a knocking noise. Then when I turn right it knocks again. But if I turn right or left in the same direction it doesn’t happen. Only when Im turning the opposite way. Doesn’t make the noise braking or throttling. It’s almost like something is loose, not tied down or a bolt that is rolling around somewhere. It’s defiantly coming from the glove box area. I took everything out of the top and bottom glove boxes. Drove around and it’s still there. Im going to drop the bottom glove box and see if it’s in the cabin filter/ dash area. I didn’t see anything under the hood that could have cause it. I’ll keep everyone posted.

I had a thump when I turned hard right, sounded like passenger side rear...after 2500 miles I figured it out. It was the trailer hitch I put in rear floorboard storage bin! I put a rag around it and thump gone!

Hello all, first post here. I have owned 4 Rams now. Bought my new 2019 Laramie Sport about 90 days ago. This morning I had a BIG problem.

Remote started it...it honked once, and that was the last thing it ever did. Key folks didn't work and I had to use the manual key from the fob to open the door.

No lights, instrument cluster, power locks, nothing...

Took battery cables off, touched them together, waited a few minutes and reconnected. Still nothing. Measured voltage at battery and to input of fuse box.. all good. Measured current draw at battery with meter and it was basically zero.

Called Chrysler roadside assistance and had it towed to the dealership.

They duplicated it, but cannot find a fix. They started a trouble ticket with Chrysler. They have no idea what to replace first and are hoping Chrysler has seen it before or has an idea what to do to fix it.

I'll try to keep everyone updated. Hopefully this isn't something to look forward to on these new Rams.

Well, dealership duplicated the issue, then after the weekend they did a full discharge and recharge on the battery and gave it back to me. No problems for a couple of weeks....until this morning.

Driving to work and the battery light came on all of a sudden, then things started intermittently turning off. Took truck to dealership and left it running. They pulled it in and looked at it for a while, and now they are ordering an alternator for it. 3 days...I don't think this is an alternator issue. It is acting like the battery is not even installed in the truck. If the truck were to be shut off, the 12v is making it to the fuse block, but NOTHING works. No dash lights, domes, locks, nothing...

I guess I'll only be out $50 for the Chrysler warranty covered rental car, and another $50 for next time it happens. :emotions34:

Sorry about the electrical issues. But, they refund that $50. It’s just a hold.

Ok good. The gal on the phone didn't explain that to me. She said it was a deductible. Figured that meant non refundable or "my portion".

Well, not sure if she meant that but I have had at least 3 rental cars while taking my Ram in to the dealer and it was a $50 hold just to make sure you had a credit card.

In case anyone else has this issue with the Uconnect app: my app to remote start the vehicle/lock/unlock was not working the last several days. I called Uconnect who eventually transferred me to SiriusXM for trouble shooting. They tried sending signals to the vehicle and said my truck wasnt receiving them so it was an issue with the sensor or whatever receives the signal (mind you Sirius radio and nav are working just fine). I called dealer who said that was strange but could look at it whenever I wanted to bring it in which I elected to wait for oil or something else to be needed as well. Anyways I just deleted and reinstalled the app on my iphone and now IS WORKING FINE. Technology and all of its little quirks o_O

My drivers side tail gate cable is longer than the passenger cable and does nothing to support the tail gate since there is a lot of slack in the cable. I went to the dealer and the service manager went out and looked at all the trucks on the lot and they are the same way. It seems to me that if you are loading something heavy on the tailgate it might get tweeked or bent from weight on the drivers side. Any reason for this?

Need some opinions here. I have the same clunking noise in the front end that I've read often here, took it to the dealer last Saturday and was told that they had a TSB on that to tighten the body mounts. Dealer also told me the tech reached out to the engineers for further guidance. Didn't even get off their lot and still had the clunking. Dealer call me yesterday and told me the engineers replied to their STAR inquiry and stated that during manufacture there was an issue of a build up of welding spatter on the frame. They want to pull the cab off the truck check this. Really not sure if I want them to do this to a brand new truck. Never mentioned anything about loose suspension bolts or anything. Has anyone else gotten this response? Should I look for another dealership for a second opinion? Any input would be appreciated!

I really can't imagine that the clunking is caused by weld splatter.

I could because in my truck, it sounds like something is loose and banging back and fort.

Ok, that's a different kind of clunking then. Mine has gotten a lot better but it is certainly something with the suspension.

I 2nd the suspension theory. Mine happens when there’s a bump like leaving my driveway or something similar. Always drivers side left. You can feel the pop/clunk faintly through the floorboard. And faintly hear it as well.
