I’ve still got about 3.5 feet of 3” angle iron left over, so ...

Also, if anyone has a body lift, Zone 1.5” or PAC 3”, please send me pics from behind your bumper at the bumper attachment points on driver and passenger side (Express/Sport only please). I need to see what or how things got moved up/around. I may be able to sort some tow hook relocation brackets out for you as well.

Got some pics from @shadowhawk and talked with him this morning. It was a pleasure to talk trucks to a fellow RFer.

He has a 1.5" Zone BL. The major issue with the BLs and tow hooks is the fact that the hooks go from the rear frame mount, a low point of attachment, to the frame horn where the bumper attaches, the high spot. They are created with about a 4" inline or decline depending on how you look at them to attach at the varied heights of the mounting points. The rear frame mount is unmoveable nor should be cut nor lengthened. I'll still make some mounts up, but leave them in a semi-unfinished status so they can be tailored to the vehicle.

I believe adding the OEM MOPAR tow hooks is possibly feasible on a 1.5" body lift but anything taller than that and there will be a severe angle created from the rear mount to front mount, pointing them significantly skyward . . . making them potentially useless and dangerous if used.

These spots in particular. There is roughly a 4” change in elevation.

Another thought I randomly had on Body Lifted trucks (1.5") is to take off some material on the on the tow hooks themselves. I want to say from 1/16" to no more than 1/8" at the attachment points in the pics in the previous post. That would net a "lift" on the tow hook of anywhere from 1/8" to 1/4." If I can get another set to tinker with, for myself and others with the Body Lift, I might be able to make them work with Tow Hook OEM or relocation brackets.

Also, here is the final product of the Bull Bar with Tow hooks.

Express TH & BB.jpg

I'm not sure if you can see it, but I haven't re-installed the lower grill and I'm not sure if I will at this time. I still have every intention of doing the Hidden Winch Mod so I may just leave it be so I don't have to take apart my front end to remove the (hacked up) lower grill anyways.
