I have been looking around at different lift kits for my 2018 Ram. I came across the Mopar 2" Lift kit and am thinking about getting it and having the dealer install it so I can stay within the Lifetime Warranty requirements. Has anyone installed one of these and if so how do you like it?

The ONLY BENEFIT there would be is that it's a MOPAR branded "kit" and being installed by a dealer you "could" retain some sort of warranty on the parts/labor/truck.

Otherwise there are better and cheaper options out there. More specifically the new Eibach kit (front and rear springs and shocks, lifting around 2-3.5") for around $600. Contact @Nick@GotExhaust for details

It’s Bilstein ... Good stuff ... I’m afraid to ask how much the dealer wants to install ... The shocks are about $100 a pc, and so are the springs ... Lil overpriced for the parts

Thanks for the info....yes I have also found cheaper units and I am sure they are just as good, but my main concern is keeping the truck as pureblood Mopar as I can. I purchased the lifetime warranty that states any changes using aftermarket parts could affect the warranty. Having a Mopar part and installed by Mopar technicians keeps that issue at bay. Installation was quoted to me for $300.00.

$300 isn't too bad, considering you have to take apart a good bit of the front end to swap the shocks and springs.

Does that include an alignment?

Cuz you're gonna need one.

Good luck with whatever you do OP, but I just gotta shake my head at $1300 for a 2" lift.

A lift will only affect the warranty on those parts. Your lifetime warranty is probably a powertrain warranty. A lift shouldn't affect your powertrain and if anything did go wrong they would have to prove that it was your lift that caused it. For that kind of money, you may want to just consider a body lift

If that "lift" was closer to $600-$700 then I can definitely see it being feasible/reasonable . . . that price tag though. Glad you're getting the alignment done in with the cost of install though.

Shoot man, for about $600 more you can have a full stage 2 Icon setup and its light years better than that “Mopar” kit..........

And let’s face facts, the peices you’re installing are not going to break or break anything, no real warranty issue sir!

The warranty on those parts are good for replacement of those parts if they break and the labor to do it won’t be covered. Read the fine print, Mopar Performance parts and accessories are not covered by factory warranties.........it’s covered by the warranty sold with said product, no different than a warranty fron BDS, Superlift, or whoever

I have a “Mopar” lift, but got it way less than any dealer sells it for and installed at a fraction of their price as well.

Shocks don’t void warranty, but the bigger tires might, that’s what puts a strain on things, not shocks. Read your warranty about tire sizes and ask your dealer and get it in writing.

My local off road shop wants $1600. That includes biksteins front at 2.8, zone UCA, rear spacer and rear bilsteins with alignment. Good deal? I feel it’s expensive

Sounds like nearly $800 in labor, way too expensive.
