Well last week i spent the whole week or so doing a front axle seal. Required removal of carrier. Well that's something I've never done before and not something i wish to do again though i suppose it may be easier now next time.

Tried fabbing a case spreader and that didn't work for ****. Nearly destroyed 4 bolt holes for the cover doing that. Then purchased an actual case spreader tool. Too big to use on the vehicle. Found online some guys poke a shop rag into the pinion gear and rotate it to bring it between the pinion and ring gears to force it out. Worked like a charm. Seems to be doing well so far

My Fuel Pump finally showed up today. I guess USPS doesn't want to ship packages to me anymore. I had an issue with them leaving my package by my mailbox a few months back and it got stolen. So I left them a not so nice review pointing out their error and how they admitted to it. Since then if Amazon ships anything via USPS it always seems to have issues and UPS takes over.

That said, I replaced the Temperature Sensor for my truck. Someone over on Dodge Forums pointed out that they had a check engine light for theirs and when replaced it fixed their idle issue that made it appear that they had a cam. I had the same issue where the truck would start super low and after the truck goes into a Closed Loop it sort of idles up to normal RPM and smooths out a little bit. I replaced mine today and confirmed that was also my issue. I had suspicions when i plugged my scanner in and saw that the sensor was reading 73F with key on engine off. The truck sat all night and hadn't been started at all that day. The ambient temp was 51 that morning.

I thought the engine might be getting a little long in the tooth because I didn't know how many hours the city left this truck idling. Tonight she showed me just how wrong I was and scared the crap out of me.

So I pulled the Fuel Pump Housing today and tried to install the new Bosch Pump. It took me no time at all to realize that I ****** up. I threw away the OEM pump without pulling the grommet or the Fuel Tank Vent Valve. The one I swapped in from a donor has the newer model that twist and locks in. So after searching everywhere NAPA is the only place that has the ability to order them short of going to Dodge and hoping for the best. That'll be in Tuesday. I got lucky because for my year truck Dodge used the same grommet for both the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the FTVV. So I can reuse the one from the Fuel Pressure Regulator to install the newly ordered FTVV.

Well... Taking the Rollover Valve back to Napa tomorrow and I'm going to buy a plug and just plug that port up for the next week or so. It turns out the valve they sold me isn't for my truck.

Best I can tell the correct Fuel Tank Vent Valve aka Rollover Valve part number is 52127666. Instead of trying my luck at the junk yard for this thing I'm just going to order a new one.

The old fuel pump is out and the new one is in. She tried to get out of driving when leaving the gas station. It cranked for a while and then stumbled to life with a loud rev. The kid in the mustang next to me must have thought I revved my engine because he raced his.... it was adorable. So once I got my truck started I decided to take it on the highway and try to brake it. It stumbled a little bit and then came to life at wide open throttle. Then ran amazing all the way back. Only thing I can think is that it still had air in the fuel line after sitting detached for about 5 days.

Is that the sport front end with a chrome grille I see? I see they sell the sport grille in chrome on LMC, but I've never seen a truck with it installed.

I believe I finally pinned down the power surging my truck does. Now that I've replaced the fuel pump, and temp sensor it's more prominent when it happens. It does it at low speed and low RPM. It's also in time with the engine "glug". So at this point I've ruled it as a side effect of having really tall gears (3.21).

Welp, after 8 years, it finally caught up with me. CEL came on this morning on my way to work. No idea what it is, will need to swing by a parts house and get em to scan it.

I got these beauties in today. I can't wait to install them so I can enjoy stable steering once again. :D

I've heard hit and miss things about MOOG so I went ACDelco for both parts.

Replaced both the pitman arm and the idler arm. Now my truck doesn't do the shake every time I turn or take a turn. :)

Got rid of the exhaust leak, then got a P0420 code... $#*($*(^*%#

But on an upside, finally sold my fiberglass tonneau and bought a toolbox. Tractor Supply (made by Delta), keys included. Found it on FB marketplace for 100 bucks.

Why not use the key dance?
