Wireless charger/ phone dock 'adjustable'?

I have a Samsung Gagalxy Note 9 with a medium sized case. The wireless charger/phone doc in the center console (5 seats) is kind of tight. Noticed in the Manual it said the phone dock was "adjustable". My google-foo must be failing me cause I cant seem to find any further info on it...
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

'Adjustable' is being somewhat generous... the tabs move somewhat to adjust for phones/cases but the range of 'adjustment' is limited

I have to remove the rubber case on my Otterbox for it to charge... likely too much distance/thickness for it to work with the wireless pad.

Well, the tabs that hold the phone don't really move, just bend. I don't have the charging pad, so that may be different there.
