I haven't had much of a chance to research this, but does anybody manufacture aftermarket dashes? Not just the top, but the entire dash core. Would appreciate any guidance on this. I own a 1997 1500.

Maybe your best bet would be a wrecking yard, find the best one you can, pull it yourself and save some money.

You need a whole, complete dash assembly? I would still check out LMC Truck for all that. They have the instrument bezel and the top cover which is the most likely part to transform into the consistency of peanut brittle.

LMC‘s a little on the expensive side but they seem to have good quality parts. I bought a new grille from them for the ole 08 Ram cuz the original was peeling and it seemed to have been of pretty good quality. It still looked just as good as the day I put it on there little over four years later when I sold it.

What's wrong with the dash core? You're probably not going to find one used in great shape.

I just installed the LMC dash cover and bezel and even with some parts of the plastic "skeleton" in the front cracked, I was able to epoxy it back together and the dash cover held everything in the proper place.

I have a '99 2500.
