new to the forum so if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it.

I have a 1989 Dodge 150 with a 318, stick and 4wd. Evidently, I'm the only guy in the country who has this vehicle without a tilt wheel. And that's the issue.

I need a turn signal switch. AFAIK, the only switch for the non tilt wheel is the SMP DS-1218 and it is impossible to find.

I'm down to buying a used steering column to get the switch. But what if that's bad? Is there a work around for this, another switch that will work or am I just out of luck and I need to pay the 150 bucks for this used column and be done with it?

As it stands, I love the truck and I'll die with it. It checks off all my boxes so selling it is not an option.

Hopefully, the forum can help me out.

Thank you

Hey man I have a 1985 d100 without tilt. Possibly the same fit? I've had to look at parts from D150s because parts for d100s are sometimes hard to find depending on the site.

seems like the 89-90 w150s are the only ones that don't have a 'without tilt' replacement turn signal switch. there are different part numbers for 88 and older as well as 91 and newer.

creative wiring might get one of those to work.

BTW, to make your life easier, the 85 Rams all parts would be listed under d150. I don't remember the exact reason, I think emissions or something like that. they were all d150s and I don't think there was any d100 specific parts. Dodge just badged some as 100s for 'loop hole' reasons. older models, the 150 designation used to mean a stronger axle/steering, etc. but by the 80's I think all parts were the same.
