I'm going to start this off by saying I'm a Ford guy through and through. Originally was looking at buying a F150 XLT. It wasn't until I started looking at the Ram that I realized there was much more value in a 1500 Big Horn. The XLT didn't come with a nice cluster screen, 4A or blind spot monitoring, like the Big Horn did. Though I'm still not wild about the shift knob instead of lever.

I was never a truck guy before, but my dad had a 2016 Big Horn so I've gotten to drive it a handful of times these past few years. It had a great commanding feel of the road.

As I get older and starting a family I find myself getting tired of driving a sedan and began looking at the 2019 Big Horn equipment level 2. Since im still not sure if I want a truck forever, I read up on the lease thread here and think I am going to go for a three year lease on a diamond black big horn crew cab hemi (not with etoqrue) short bed.

Look forward to being a member here for the years to come and talking with everyone!

Welcome. I actually came from an F-150 to a Big Horn (with a 6 month stint in a Charger in between till I realized I wasn’t a car guy anymore).

There were things I missed about the Ford for sure. Flat back floor (Ram has now), keypad on the door, folding mirrors (have em now but didn’t on my Big Horn, Eco-Boost was fast but I enjoy the sound of a V8, oh, and that tailgate step (this one still gets me).

But as you said they just don’t compare on price and features now.

I thought the shifter dial bothered me at first and I do admit there were a couple times just reaching over and wasn’t sure if I was turning up the radio, the heat or putting it in drive. But when you have that huge console and you think about it, why wouldn’t you want that space back. I really just missed a place to rest my hand.

Good luck with the deal and enjoy it. My only advice would be get the truck you want (within your means) and don’t settle or you might regret it.

Nice! Welcome aboard!

I was for years and years a Chevrolet guy. Until one time they gave me a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 for a rental (this was in 2004) as my CHEVY was in the shop for like a dozen times.

I never looked back. I got rear ended not too long ago - and they gave me a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. God, I was embarrassed to drive in. haha. IT was a super plastic rattle trap.

I couldn't wait to get my truck back!!

I will never drive a car (daily driven) - Trucks are so much safer. Imports are pretty much throw away cars these days. No one builds a car to last.
