It's been a couple of weeks since the last update how is the progress?
I wish I could say anything other than nothing but unfortunately, nothing yet with the shop. The trusses are there sitting on the ground and that's it. Still waiting on this gosh dang permit! We do however do our final walkthrough on Monday and he just got the occupancy permit today so after the final walk through Monday we are good to move into the house. Heres a few updated pics in the house. Dont have many but I'll get more once I'm in next week
Getting really frustrating waiting for my shop to start, but nothing we can do until we get the permit. 327e09662cb6f2234900421c57248817.jpg

Thanks guys!
Great news, we got the permit finally! Shop trusses are in my driveway and ready to go. Did the final walkthrough of the house just now and it looks amazing. We got the keys and we'll be moving into it this weekend and will have to go three days without appliances lol holidays they wont be delivered until the 26th, but o well. Heres some pictures of the house all finished and the trusses. Super excited, my wife did a awesome job with the house. Still a couple little touches our builder is fi finishing up right now but the house is all done and ready for us to move in on Saturday.
And he said the shop will be started either the 26th or the following Monday depending on his guys taking the holiday week off or not.
Everything is awesome from the laundry room to the pantry haha.
Bonus room has no carpet because we are putting in high density rubber floors, it's our workout room

If anybody is interested in some relatively cheap amazing led garage lights these things rock!! Pictures dont do them justice they are very bright, my builder said hes going to switch his whole garage out to these after we got em lol, and they can obviously be flush mounted which was important to me. I got them for 99 bucks each at Costco but I'm sure you can find em online. 18,000 lumens and are dimmable

How high are you garage ceilings? I looked at those awhile back but didn't pull the trigger since they're considered high bay. My ceilings are 10.5 from, so I probably could have gotten away with them, but didn't want to be disappointed with a narrow beam.

I was thinking that's what you were around. Reason I was asking is because the high bay fixtures will have a lower beam angle at that height requiring more fixtures, which makes finding a dimmer a challenge if it's important to you. I'm sure it's nice and bright in there with all those fixtures though.

Dimming was important to me since I plan on putting a golf simulator with a projector and hit screen in my garage. I ended up with 8 Phillips 473958 led t8 bills at 2100 lumen that use 13w each. I bought two fixtures that I liked and had to swap the ballasts to an led dimmable (REZ2S32SC) ballasts and non shunted sockets. This was the highest lumen setup possible for my kasa smart home dimmer switch that max at 150w, which gives me room for 3 more bulbs if I want.

I spent way more time than I wanted researching lighting lol. Had to start at the end and build everything around my switch.

I was easy with only 3 requirements, flush mounting, led and bright lol
