predat-r, looks sweet!

Sometimes I want to lower my truck a bit... nothing drastic, maybe set the front Bilsteins to their lowest setting. My concern is the rear. I have airlift bags installed for when I tow. I have a 27' travel trailer that I haven't taken out yet, but will multiple times a year once that project is done.

What are you running in the rear? I thought about picking up a spare set of stock rear springs and cutting a coil off. Figured the AirLift bags would still fit and I'd have a slightly lower ride overall. I could add air to the bags to compensate for the cut coil sag.

Lots of lowered 3rd gens still tow

Am I steering too much? Been distracted at work lately. Center caps on now. Wheel gap filled, softer ride on bumps noticed.

I can give you suggestions for numbers 8 and 9.

8 - PowerStop Z36 Truck and Tow Rotors and Pads. Put 'em on my truck last spring and they've been fantastic.
9 - Autocraft Platinum AGM from Advance Auto - Normally $200, but do a search for one of their 25% off coupons and do a Buy Online/Pick Up In Store to get it for $150. Replaced my original battery with one of these this past summer.

-K

I agree with suggestion #9, I bought one of the platinums for my daughters truck a couple weeks ago, saved almost $50. The battery had a “made in Germany” sticker on it not China or Mexico lol

I did 3 things this week.

1. I installed the set of OEM/custom Retroshop FX-R black projector headlights w/white & amber switchbacks I bought from @Harris342. I still need to hard mount the resistors and ballasts but they are secure and out of the way for now. Harris342 is a great seller. He was very quick to remove them from his truck, packed them securely and shipped them
out, fully insured with tracking.

He emailed me detailed photos of the mounting locations of the resistors & ballasts and answered any questions I had. He’s been very helpful and just an all around really good guy to deal with.

These projectors are just flat out awesome. They’re in great shape, they light the road up 10 times better than my previous HID’s and theres NO moisture inside the housing. I’ll upload some photos of my old TYC’s for reference. It proves that paying extra cash for quality is ultimately worth it. Very happy with this purchase & install.

2. I met @moparpeetie to pick up the center console OEM shifter knob I purchased from him. (I installed it as soon as I got home) Super nice guy and his Ram looks and sounds awesome. It would be cool to have a Central PA area RamForum meetup sometime if there are enough interested people in PA.

3. I trimmed the intake tube on the Vararam. I noticed it was a little too tall and it was slightly bent from being pushed down too much by the hood. I measured and cut a half inch off the bottom. Reinstalled it and presto... 10 more HP at least. (Just kidding) it’s now level with the windshield wiper cowl and no more bend in the intake tube.

Would love to see some beam pattern comparisons between them and the TYC’s... I’m working on a pair of TYC’s that I’m probably going to retrofit later as an upgrade to my current quads.

Believe it or not, I don’t think I’ve ever taken any photos of the TYC beam pattern.

Finally got the ******** limo tinted front windows replaced with normal human sight level ceramic tint. I can see!

I will never know why I did not notice that stupid tint when buying it.

Finally got the correct 1.5” wheel spacers, this time with proper thread pitch (M14x1.5) for my 2014 1500.

Got red Loctite for them and some gasket seal from HD to retrofit onto my Recon third brake light. Weather should be good enough to knock out those mods tomorrow.
