so I have an 05 1500 4.7. I noticed that when I came to a complete stop and went to accelerate , the truck Rpms would go up but the truck would crawl slowly. I would have to gradually build up speed . The plugs and coils have been changed. O2 and TPS sensors changed within the last year. Only code is a loose gas cap . The pipes that attach to the muffler were broken off at the muffler a few weeks ago , and I have a possible broken manifold bolt so I’m wondering if it’s a clogged catalytic converter ? Any help would be appreciated

Thirds on the trans issue - if it's revving but not moving, doesn't sound like cats...

I would drop trans pan if fluid level is up. Taking note I’d fluid smells burnt and debris in pan. If all seems okay , a new filter (there’s a spin on and a bolt on) kit and top to proper level with atf-4 and see if it helps. This will be cheapest tranny work and may “fix” it. How many miles on trans?

I would lean towards torque converter also.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The only reason I was leaning towards the catalytic converter is because I didn’t get any overheating, or like shuttering that would usually suggest torque converter . There’s 140,000 on the transmission @Karlsweg

If the cat was plugged it should be glowing cherry red and a weak exhaust pressure out the tail pipe. 140,000 is a lot of miles. Do you know if the trans has ever been serviced? The filters could be plugged up.

@Karlsweg no , I don’t know if it’s been serviced. It hasn’t been by me . I guess start with from the Fluid and then move onto dripping the trans pan.

Smell the trans fluid and it should be bright red in color. If its not or smells burnt I would drop the pan and see how much metal is on the magnet in the pan.

Google is your friend, there is quite a few things you can check if you suspect plugged cat and are stuck on that.

My first thought was tranny. But if U say not burnt, fluid ok, next is CATS-clogged. But I am no mechanic
