Good Morning. I am having another issue now lol. I re-did all my programs in Alfa. I programmed the tilt in reverse. Let it sleep and turned the truck back on about 10 mins later and only the left mirror is tilting. So I turned the feature of and let the truck sleep till the next morning and the left is still titling in reverse with the features turned off. Any suggestions.

Check both driver and passenger memory settings to make sure they are set. I have it to where only my passenger tilts because I disabled the drivers side.

Driver Memory Mirrors Present: Not set
Passenger Memory Mirror Present: Set

Edit: Note that when doing this it will not let you check/uncheck the box in settings on the 8.4

Mine had two of these blue resistors on each foglight, I set the lights to LED, unplugged those and plugged my trucks oem plug directly to the Morimoto XB foglights and haven’t had any errors.

One thing though, I never tried it without the resistors before I set it to LED so keep that in mind.

Holy smokes that looks like a ton of resistance! I'm sure it's way better for the circuit to have that out of the way. Do the 15 and newer trucks give a bulb out warning if it detects fog light is burnt out? I ask because when I was trying to run hids in the fog lights (which is a bad idea anyways) using those diode dynamic canceler it would determine I had a short because of the hids, shut off that circuit but not tell me, so I'm driving around with one or both fogs out like a dummy lol

I just put in new HR V.4 bulbs in my lows and didn't use the supplied PWM modules and set the Low Beams to LED and no error messages or anything!

I did this with my LED low beams. They flickered really bad without resistors I changed the setting with AlfaOBD to LED Low beams. No flicker at all. I can only assume this would be the same for the Fogs

2018 Black Pearl Ram 1500

LED Tail Lights, Black Quad Halogens with LED conversion, LED Black 3rd Break Light, Blacked Out Emblems, Rims & Grill, 8.4 UAQ conversion!, MTC to ATC Mod, OEM Remote Start

Could someone post the alfaobd procedures for LED low beams, without resistors!

Thank much in advance

My question is - where to find LED bulbs that dont have CANbus adapters and/or resistors wired inline?

Since Alfa seems to be able to make them unnecessary, I feel like we would be better off with pure LED "bulbs" without all the extra stuff that can go wrong because of the extra parts that everyone includes. I know some are external to it all so just dont plug them in, but some arent, and even still I think some are hybrid (i.e. external CAN adapter, internal resistor)

It would be nice to make a list, if there are any bulbs like this available

Any place like Amazon or a vendor here have them. Usually you have to buy the Canbus/PWM cancellers separately.

You would just buy the bulbs when you purchase.

I set mine to 12 and 6 in the fogs and the beam pattern is factory. I think the halogens are also 12 and 6
Just finished re-orienting the LED emitters to 12 and 6 in the verticle fog lamp housing.

Big difference in throw and intensity. This makes sense since the reflective surface is verticle.

However, even with the Alpha setting to LED Fog enable, the computer shuts off the bulb but only in the accessory position.

If I start the truck, the fogs come back on.

I checked error codes in alpha and there were a bunch of bulb short/bulb out messages.

I don't know if it's the LED bulbs or my truck having PWM enabled in accessory position even with alpha set.

Need to buy a cheapie oscilloscope to verify.

Thanks everyone for your help!

This is a great thread and thanks to Ghost Ram!

Will do my HID's next week.43f2529c9249768b35d1794c13fc4a5e.jpgc8f005e5c4db02089288d2f1477d24ee.jpg

How do you like the V4s? Are they as bright as HR says? Are they worth the money?

Ran into an issue with the ambient air temperature sensor today doing some troubleshooting.

For grins I changed the ambient temperature sensor location to "CBC" (alpha indicated the current value was "DCM"). As expected, I lost the temperature display on the dash, it went to -40F, and a P0070 code was set for "ambient air temperature sensor circuit short circuit to + battery / open circuit"

I then changed the location back to DCM and the code would not go away, nor could I get temp to display on the IP (still displaying -40F, and setting the MIL). Battery pulls, key cycles, nothing.

When I reviewed the BCM log file it said "Ambient air temperature sensor location: Not defined", which made me think the setting didn't take. I went back to my original log file before anything was altered with Alpha, and it listed the same thing. If I set the location to CBC, it will display as such in the log file, but not when setting to DCM. This makes me wonder if there's another setting that Apha isn't seeing?

Any thoughts? Curious what some of your BCM's are displaying for ambient temp sensor location?

I just put them in today so I haven't had a chance to try them in the dark. They replaced my V.3 bulbs I had from them and they were great but one did die early so HR sent me the new V.4 bulbs as replacements.

Read here...

I messed with the same setting back around post 1707. All the configs that I've seen have the ambient temp sensor present to no, and that will default the location setting to undefined. To correct my mistake I had to set my config back as stated, then clear the bcm faults, drive the truck until it popped a cel, park it with key in run and engine off, and clear the two faults with my edge monitor.
