Good find! Was it on sale or is that the regular price? Best deal I've found is Amazon for about $10/can...

I get it at performance automotive just down the road. They usually have it for eight dollars and change a can all the time.

Everywhere else is $10 or more

This performance automotive is a bit different though. They are a big Husky, Stihl and john deer dealer. Its my go to for chainsaw stuff. But the do have car parts in the back behind the counter [emoji23][emoji23].. mostly a saw and tractor parts store though.

Get some FF/Krown/NH Oil/Corrosion on your trucks if you live in the rust belt. These are 2 different trucks but both are up here in New England. This will happen if you don't!62eb502098613f0706436cf103fc6f4d.jpg30e6c4449e38fb376d636217063843ac.jpg

I sprayed about 10 liters rust prevent fluid In October. I am glad to hear, you have same rust issues there in States!

Actually, we have the answer for the rust issues, not the same as rust issues. Darwinian award winners have rust issues, men of resourcefulness laugh at rust issues :)

Cans don't work fer****, you need a set up like Corey. I did cans on mine, and even in mild CA it just didn't last long.

Very true

Cans work “OK” at best with the 24” 360* straw extension for in your doors and such. But they suck for anything else.

If you don’t have an adequate compressor for a real spray gun set up you can cheat with some electric sprayers if you warm the fluid up.

But the fluid film gun is the best choice. Extensions and all.

Here’s a good example of the frustrating things the cans do when using the 360* extension designed for them

I had bought that extension for the cans...was much better than the straws but messy, just kept falling off.

I need to buy the gun you all speak of..can I use my small compressor for that? Never have painted before sorry not that familiar.

Technically..... yes, but yo will get sick of it real fast. Id use at least a 50 gallon with a spray gun. But i am impatient and time is valuable. A smaller 25 gallon will still work.

But a 3 gallon..... no chance.

You have to use relatively high pressure to spray Fluid Film from the gun like 60psi+. I tried it with a 6 gal pancake compressor and it basically just ran constantly. I would have to wait a min or two for it to build pressure. @U&A is right a bigger compressor is the way to go

This thread popping up has reminded me to ask - my white truck always seems to have dirty black build up of some sort in the gaps between the front fender and rocker panel, in the gap between the doors and between the rear of the rocker panel and front of the bed. All at the bottom along the rocker panel area.

Does anyone else have this? I just assumed it was my Corrosion Free (i.e. Fluid Film), since it almost looks like dirt sticking to oil.

Curious if anyone else with a white or light colored truck has the same experience.

It's very possible it's some of that attracting dirt and showing up on white paint...

Before your truck needs Fluid Film, I suggest you get under it with some

It will collect dirt like RKL collects Redline.

My truck is always dirty from it. It is what it is.

Iron x will remove it well. Or elbow grease [emoji6]

It's just dirt accumulating on the rust spray. Mine has it along the bottom of the rocker panels.

All I have is the pancake thing...glad I didn’t waste my money on a gun. I’ll get some shop to do it and use the cans for touch up.

My white truck does the same.. if I don't wash it for a few weeks I can see oily residue creeping out of a lot of the panels.. I think the brake dust makes it look black
