Hey Guys
Just bought a new set of hoop style nerf bars for a quad cab. I previously had the OEM cab to bed length boards that attached to the nut inserts and the lower weld of the rocker.

The new boards I installed secured to the nut inserts and I used two speed nuts that came with the I stall kit for the middle support. Everything is tight and secure.

I am getting a vibration from the driver side board in the rocker, not front metal on metal from the new brackets but it seems like just the flexing of the rocker... anyone else experience this and any ideas on how I could fix this/fab an extra bracket to mount to the lower rocker welds?

I had the same issue with mine. I have aftermarket steps and where they bolt on to factory holes, there are only 2 nuts but it came with a 3 bolt "bracket" that is in a triangle shape. Anyhow they rattle where they go into the factory holes so I put a thin strip of rubber between the steps and the body on the top and its stopped the rattling.

Take a look at these, I was able to use them on 2 of the 3 brackets per side. The little triangle pieces are what I am referring to.
