This is a pretty good chart that shows the Kelvin color rating.
For anyone that was interested. I choose 5800K rated 50W bulbs for my Mini D2S projectors with 50W ballasts. I figured it would be closest to natural daylight that could be produced by a headlight.
For my fogs, I was looking at running 5500K bulbs on a 50W ballasts, which would make the bulb produce 4500K light output, which for a fog light would be a good color range with enough "throw" down the road.
Probably been covered in depth before. I've noticed a lot of posts about getting better bulbs or using LEDs to make up for the lacking performance of factory headlights. Figured this would help.
