Hello all,

I have a 2015 1500 Laramie limited with Keyless entry.

I am looking to purchase a couple extra fobs. I know they can be programs with AlphaOBD.

Any good sources for them.

I am in Canada

I bought OEM three-button fobs (lock-unlock-panic) from North Coast Keyless. My 2018 is manual xmission so cannot have auto start, but it also came without keyless entry. It does have power locks and windows. Brought the fobs into the dealership and 30 mins later I had keyless entry. Plus fob takes the place of the physical key

just a heads up, but manual transmission can still have remote start.

Didn't know that. I typically leave my truck "in gear" when I shut down. I think this would be an issue?

Yes. Big problem. Especially on a diesel which doesn't need many revs.

There are remote starters available for manuals. Manufacturers dont use them, because you should leave you car in gear, along with the brake, as extra insurance if something fails.

There is a switch under the clutch pedal, which shouldn't allow your truck to start, unless the clutch is in. Aftermarket remote starts work by fooling that switch into thinking it's in. And Bob's your uncle. The truck will start.

Now. Imagine it's a cold winter morning. You're sat in front of your living room window with your cup of joe, and think to remotely start your manual transmission car. Only to realize you left it in 1st the night before.... only reason I wont have a remote start on my car, is because I'm scared I'll leave it in gear through habit, and meet her face to face in my living room when she crashes through lol.

a proper remote start for a manual has to be set before shutting off the vehicle.
when you park, place in neutral, engage park brake, hit start button on fob, get out with engine still running, close door, hit off button on fob to shut off engine.
this is how it ensures its in neutral.
