Interesting.

They state to have Auto Up for the windows working
As well as in motion nave entry

Some other cool stuff as well.

Most of the "cool stuff" requires the Tazer be plugged into the OBD port at all times.

Im guessing the firmware is written like an "If This Then That" where it is watching the CAN bus messages and reacting to certain ones by issuing more (i.e. if they keyfob lock is pressed 6 times then issue a window up command)

Unfortunately the global up doesn't work on the 13 and up Rams. The global down should work. After you set the code and let the truck sleep through a cycle or two push unlock and release on the fob and then push unlock and hold the button. After a few seconds the driver and passenger front windows will roll down. They will stop as soon as you let go of the button.

Done and it worked for down. Thanks!

What was the setting to illuminate the backup lights on unlock?

Not sure. Someone said that it wasn't possible.

After reading a bunch I'm curious the srt options are stored In the bcm right? So if one were to get a bcm from a loaded srt jeep and plug it in, in theory you could Have the srt options and programming without too much hassle right? Then you could in theory use alfaobd to set up the regular items you had on your truck right?
I'm not sure if It would work or not.
Just an idea rattling around my head.

Edit: I just did a quick search. The modules are physically the same, continental 7 plug blah blah they're identical with different part numbers on them.

The bcm is the exact same. This leads me to. Think. The only difference is programming #s viper challanger charger and ram share the same style Bcm. If found a Cherokee srt bcm 4x4 and all other options should work in Theory. 20190117_121935.jpg 20190117_121908.jpg

AFAIK you can enable the SRT theme stuff, but the "performance pages" feature cannot be enabled unless your head unit has never ever connected to UConnect, and that means it could never have had the free trial either.

Im guessing there was a loophole in an early s/w version but by now all the units have been upgraded past it.

If one were to say use alfaobd to convince the u connect 8.1 it had an srt Vin number by changing it in Alfa obd and then going on to the u connect site entering the Vin and downloading that software the radio would (in My head) accept the software update giving you performance pages and srt logos right?? WTF! I was just thumbing through the shared configurations to see what's what before buying -- I just say this. If this is what I think it is, that would be awesome!

Don't get your hopes up, it doesn't work. You can do it with aftermarket wiring though.

Exactly. Don't get too excited yet. It's just a theory right now. Plus I'm sure but don't hold me to it once u put an update in the u connect website and download it the update is considered finished and removed. But I do not know for sure. If this is the case it would be harder and harder to find srt Vin's and do radio updates.
This attempt could brick my radio for all I know. [emoji53] Hope not but it's for the greater good if it in fact works.

Just a heads up, swapping the BCM with anything but Ram will more than likely result in the truck with a whole list of issues. First things to be addressed would be vehicle line, vehicle brand, chassis type, ABS/ESC, ERS, trailer tow and a whole long list of different settings that are either different or not compatible. Good news is, it would stand to reason that if it was just too much to deal with you could swap back in your Ram BCM and it should solve the majority of the issues.

I haven't swapped BCMs but I have changed vehicle line and brand settings along with using another app and all hell broke loose!

Edit: First things first, make sure you have a copy of your BCM config!!

Exactly. Once you have ur bcm Config you could probly program that srt one to be compatable with the truck. I'm Hoping. When I find work agai and have cash coming in I think I might try it. Chose the Cherokee srt because it has the 4x4 options basically the same as the rams.

You got bigger balls than I do. Lol After my experience and spending an entire weekend getting everything back the way it was I gave up on that quest.

I'll always have the original to swap back to if it's overwhelming so I'm not too Worried once I get into it. Backup vehicle is also very helpful. Not as comfy as the hemi but just as fun lol.

There’s two special packages in the BCM but they’re both the same.

Edit: They don't all work for whatever reason and I had to select the same out of both packages for some to work. Only change I seen was on the evic boot image.

OK so stupid question but if I change these all my other settings stay the same it only changes my evic image right?
