Ok guys not sure what has happened. I might have bricked my BCM
Changed my TPMS threshold the other day no prob. Started the truck today all good moved it out side to get better reception. I went in to try and down load settings to Google drive. It would not connect again. Could not get out so just closed the program.
When i went to go key up the truck it said push clutch to start instead of push brake.
Now it wont start.

I go to faults it has one for the bcm U0100
Lost communication thats it.
The ABS has a few but the biggest is
C2206 configuration mismatch.

When i do a log check there are no changes listed.
I just printed off the 2017 BCM list
Off the 1st post along with my Current BCM list. I guess i will compair them line by line.
Not sure what could have happened I didn't make any changes other than TPMS threshold.

I used AlfaOBD to connect to my wifes Jeep Cherokee, had a peek around her BCM. No changes made. However, the next day when she tried to go to work it was going bat****, shifting really rough, dash lit up like a Christmas Tree, ots of service transmission messages. Took it to the dealers where they said the BCM had lost comms with the transmission module, did a reflash, all good again. Needless to say, I'm not allowed to connect to her Jeep anymore. :)

Sorry late to the party, 436 pages late to be exact. Have 2012 power wagon and would like to adjust transmission shift points and adjust my TPMS, for the 35's I'm running.

Does this work for 2012 model Year?
And/or is there a better thread to for MY 2012?

No option to change shift points.

Ok guy i just went thru all the pages pf the 2 truck configs and the only difference I found was the CHMSL camera and CHMSL led that is on my truck.
While I was reading I had the Batteries disconected. Hooked the batteries back up. Read and cleared all the codes and it started back up!!!
I think I soiled my pants lol...
I think I will just stay with my TPMS threashold adjustment at the moment a little gun shy to start changing things.
I assume it just got confused or corrupted with the non proper shut down of Alfa??
Is there a correct way to navigate or shut down before disconnecting. I appologize guys if I am asking some dumb questions like i said I'm new to this teck stuff.
I apreciate all the great help!!

I know that feeling, and mine was only my brake lights.

Yet another reason I’d like to see the ability in AlfaOBD to be able to upload your initial settings. For example: you connect to your truck for the first time and when you download the initial config, it also saves that config as a file you can upload later. That way when things go bat**** crazy, you just upload your initial file and you’re back to square one.

I had a thought earlier, I've already set up my kindle so it'll be ready next week, as a safety precaution download a screen recording app to record each time you go and change something. That way you have a visual record of what you did if something went wrong along with the data log.

Thats why you upload your original list to google drive first.
Then Alfa does create a log of all your changes after each change. So when you go to the tools icon in the top corner and select fault codes and logs a white box will open that will then allow you to pick each module you have been in. When you open that it will display your list along with a seperate line of any changes you have made.
So atleast I'm learning with a little work and a calm state of mind you can find your way back.

I’ve personally not run into anything that could not be reverted back, and I’ve been doing some ballsy things lately trying to get a new RF Hub programmed.
Someone on cumminsforum today also had a similar situation as you and I had him do the abs initialization to fix it. He ended up inputting a tire size with a decimal. I guess the main thing is, know what you’re changing and don’t panic if something happens. When you panic, you start hitting things you don’t know and don’t remember what you did.
And as @Jimmy07 said as long as you don't stress out. Just calm down take a breath and retrack your steps along with some great help from the guys here and I think you can get back to a safe place lol....
I will admit when Press clutch to start appeared and mine wouldn't start. The Panic did set in hahaha...

Not really what I was meaning. I’d like to have it create an actual file you can upload to your truck to put it back to stock. No looking at changes you made, going in and changing them back. You simply select the file it created when you initially connected to your truck, upload it and you’re back to stock.

Kinda like a tuner does, writes a stock file first then when you want to return to stock after tuning it you can and everything is back to the way it was when you started.

This is what you can do in Forscan on Ford vehicles. You can restore all or individual modules depending how you back things up. It is a free program and much more maturely documented than AlfaODB. I am still grateful for AlfaODB though. I wish there was something for GM products.

I'm sure in the 4k pages it's been discussed but how do you make it where you can turn the drl on and off? I just tried turning them off in the radio settings and they're still on?

Also has anybody had any luck getting the white lights as the main drl on the projectors running the switchback boards from diode dynamics

That's exactly how the PVCX system works for my Indian motorcycle. It allows me to save the initial OEM map and any additional improvement made. When/if the dealer reflashes I can put it back to whatever configuration I've previously used

Many people have enabled the factory alarm and not had any issues with the remote start. Do you have a factory remote start?

It should work with no issues. There is only one code needed for the VTA to work which is in ECU#3. Your hood latch should already be set if you have the factory remote start. Now that you have everything reset I reccomend turning the VTA in ECU#3 on again and see what happens. e9cfcdc5adde72d9d19d2ede694021e2.jpg

I managed to get a like new LED CHMSL for $160 shipped. Ordered the harness from M2Mods and got it working in my ‘16 1500 Bighorn. We did discover the Linbus was missing in the C-pillar, but apparently it is not needed. I can tell you their after sales support is 2nd to none.

I also have done the 32 gal conversion and recently changed my tank volume to 121 liters. Looks like this may have done the trick. Truck was avg 14mpg (calculated not shown) and filled up with DTE at 10. Truck took 29.5 gal. This would mean 2.5 gal @ 14mpg would be 35 miles left. If I ran the DTE to 0, that would give me a 25 mile reserve. Waiting on a 2nd tank for verification.

I had zero luck with LED settings on the rear lights. I bough a set of eBay lights and couldn’t get the bulb out for the life of me. Did. Price it would only appear if the headlights were on and then I pressed the brakes or trim signals. I even turned on disable rear light warnings and that didn’t help. Ended up with VLED parking light resistors which completely took care of the issue.

Other than that, did DRL’s with radio on/off, fog light drop out (Bambi mode), front window down, and tow mirror enable with a set of 1AAuto mirrors to correct the adjustment when filled up in tow orientation (OEM power fold sport mirrors still available).
