E911 issues

So I just got my new 8.4 nav screen put in my truck and updated it yesterday to the newest software all went well. now today my truck started calling 911 repeatedly. I did unconnected my phone thinking that's how the call works since I don't have the 3g antenna. But it must call through the sat antenna because I got the dispatch. It called like 7 times I had to keep canceling the call it did stop but it was very anoying and unnerving. Any idea why this is happening or a way to stop it?

I have never heard of this happening before. The RA3 and RA4 radios actually call 911 through their own cell network. I'm assuming it's in case you don't happen to have your cell phone with you you can always call 911. Did you install the 911 mirror as well? It shouldn't make it call 911 either way I'm just curious trying to figure out why it's doing what it's doing. One thing I might recommend is just disconnect your battery for 20 or 30 minutes let the radio reset itself and see what happens from there.

It hasn't happened again and no I don't have the 3g antenna or the e911 mirror installed so not sure how it happened. I even disconnected the Bluetooth so it couldn't access through my phone. I'm just hopping it was a one time event. And I have the latest software in the radio.

Any reason that this stopped? My truck just started to do the same thing. It calls 911 automatically and I end call but today it called 911 and it told me that the operater had to end the call which led me to explain to the 911 operator that there wasn't an emergency.
