looking for pictures and suggestions on wheel flares, I'm putting 35x12.5's on the truck and want to protect the paint! let me know what fits the best and will last! I will probably paint them body color. 2014 Ram regular cab.

No pictures, but I like the OEM ones the best. It really depends on the offset of your wheel too. I have 35x12.5’s with a 0 offset wheel and they are essentially flush in the wheel well without fender flares. No rubbing either.

You don’t give the model of your truck, or the offset of your wheels ... makes a diff when selecting flares ...Did you look at any other flare threads ? ... There have been a couple very recently

Sport, Express, Bighorn ? The front bumper makes all the diff with flares ... That’s why I asked ... But you know it all ...

BE364AB6-DD2D-4BB3-941C-02005AE8ADB2.jpeg I had 33 12.5 20 on mine(bottom pic)when I first got my sport but they kicked everything up the sides so I replaced them with stock sized tires then added flares(top pic) and flaps. No more gravel or mud being thrown up the sides now.

i like that style of flare, just not really digging the front by the headlight. kinda looks hacked and incomplete imo

Maybe, but the 1500 OEM flares look even worse on a 1500 Sport ... In my opinion, unless you’re lifted 6+” runnin 35’s or 37’s with -offset wheels, then pocket flares look goofy ... Specially if you go cheap and don’t color match em ... But to each his own ... Your money ... Your truck ... Pay no attention to the members laughing behind the bushes

I agree they look incomplete, but then again the pocket flares stop in the same place on a sport. Looks like they are designed for Ram trucks with a chrome bumper. Any way I thought I saw somewhere on this site some front flares that wrapped all the way around the front wheel wells. Hopefully they will chime in!

i agree. i hate the black flare look (not paint matching). i see it around here all the time. i also agree on the flare not sticking past the tires. its functional, yes. but i like it better with the tires sticking out a bit. thats why i like these 2500 flares. just not sure on the front

Yea it does look unfinished. It would bother me too much. They are nice looking flares on the HD trucks though.

If your running 12.5 wides, fender flares aren't gonna stop all the mud, salt etc from going down the side of your truck. It does help alittle just dont get your hopes up. I'm propably gonna take my bushwacker flares off soon, worried about salt getting behind them.

Yes i know this from experience.

Why not do mud flaps instead of the flares ? less chances for the paint to get phucked up especially if you're doing offroading.

I have what looks like factory molded mud flaps on mine and the side of the truck gets caked with salt, snow etc. Doesn't block that much it seems like.
