I would be close on the length law but not really worried about that, I was just wondering if there is a way to do it . By having a 5th wheel I can pull something it's like pulling doubles and I have a CDL with endorsement

Welcome to the Forum, we need more 3rd Gens owners representing.

To your thread question, I'm sure there is no argument that it is completely "possible", and maybe some can give example of how.
I don't think there are many (if any) states that still allow for that, and if they do, i'm sure (IMO) would require inspection and permit at minimum.
The research should be within your State, local laws. And/or whichever applicable states you may be traveling.
And the State/Local codes i'm sure would dictate what is acceptable/ unacceptable hook-up (if allowed).

Just my thoughts

Towing double bottom is legal in IL, at least it was about 8 or 10 years ago. There are some pretty tight requirements on total length (again at least there were). I'm not sure if you're asking if it is legal or if you're asking if the truck can be flat towed or if you plan to put it up on a flat bed trailer and tow that way. For me I guess I need more information. The one thing you absolutely need to know no matter how you tow is ""If you tow double bottom don't back up for any reason".

Outside of the legal argument, I'm thinking you need to contact the fifth wheel manufacturer. I don't think the bumper or rear end on those things is build for towing like that.

and I'm not sure at all if you can flat tow an auto trans Dodge pickup. Maybe one of the others on here can tell you for sure one way or another. I know with a Jeep you can put the transfer case in neutral and can flat tow it (just leave the ignition key off not lock). Towed my wife's Jeep from MN to AZ back in 06. Former neighbor trailer towed a Polaris Ranger on a trailer behind his 5th wheel, but he had to do extensive structural strengthening on the 5th wheel back end. He is a heck of a welder.
