Good Day everyone! I've had my 06 2500 for about 6 months now and have slowly been updating some things on it. The most obvious issue it had was terribly yellowed headlights. One even had impact webbing in it and they both had moisture in them.

Like most people, I'm all for saving a buck. Especially on parts that dont have the potential to fall off and kill me or others. So as I was searching for lights, it wasn't a hard choice for me to get the cheapest set from eBay. I got the set with the amber light bar (because that's what mine had) and they only cost $101.96. Reviews were mixed, either they fit good or they fit good BUT were criss-crossed or improperly aligned.

Inevitably, mine were extremely criss-crossed and there is no left/right adjustment!

Now I know some people are different, but in my opinion, if the product comes faulty, it's already ruined, so this little procedure should be done with some discretion.

The first thing I did was plug the old headlights back in to take note of where the beam was. I used some painters tape and tried to point out the very center of the beam and then placed it just along the sharp top edge of the light pattern. My first picture shows the new headlights in comparison to the old. the Beam is about 8" inward only 4' in front of the truck!

When you look at the headlights, you'll note that the main headlight portion moves separate of the rest of the housing. If you remove the round seal in the back, you can see that it's held in place by 3 ball screws. 2 on top, and then one lower which is used for the horizontal adjustment. Remove the 2 screws holding the adjusting mechanism on and then pull that out. it requires a little bit of force, but I did not break anything. like I said; discretion!

Next: CUT A HOLE. I have a picture with a red arrow where to cut. You want to cut a hole to gain access to the inner-most ball screw. I used my grinder with a cutoff wheel because I am a monkey. once you have the hole made, you can clearly see the ball screw. The idea now is to move the inner-side of the headlight more toward the front of the vehicle, which is pushing the light pattern outward.

I used a 10mm wrench and unscrewed it from the housing about 5mm and then tested the headlight. Be carefull, there is only about 10mm of thread on that ball screw. I will be applying some JB weld before I seal the hole up (with gorilla tape) to make sure it holds.

The last step is to adjust the ball screw on the adjuster. It will need to be adjusted as much as you adjusted the other ball screw. This one has PLENTY of room for adjustment. For re-installing it, I stuck the ball in some grease to help it pop back in. It IS tricky! but with diligence, you can do it!

unfortunately i am only allowed 5 pictures, but by the time I was done, I had a light pattern that was very good! and definitely brighter than the old ones! Hope this is of help, and ask questions if you aren't sure of anything!

Thanks for reading!

Here's a little tip to add.
When popping the ball screws in and out of the sockets play a hot-air gun or hairdryer on the sockets first to ease the plastic and make it less brittle.
