BTW, BR makes a liner that covers the sidewalls, too, if that's important to you. It wasn't to me, but if I treated my Reb like a farm truck, I'd probably opt for it.

Interesting you should mention that... I've seen a neighbor go mega-cheap and use Stall Mats glued together then cut to fit his bed (ref: https://www.coastalfarm.com/product/premium-stall-mat-4-x-6-x-34/ ) It's not that bad of an idea, since I use the same item on the floor of my little shop, and it puts up with a megaton of abuse (and are built to have horses stomp all over the things all day long, so...)

PS: I should note that unlike most commercial bed liners, his lash-up job is 3/4" thick.

I use my truck for work and consider the spray in liners to be nothing more than a crappy ass joke. They do a great job of "protecting" the bed of your truck, so long as you don't throw much more than golf clubs in. If you use your truck for serious work or play, go with a drop-in liner...

Get a wire brush on a drill, scuff the crap out of your bed's paint, blow out the chips and dust. Then apply a HEAVY coat of Rustoleum primer. When it drys, add a second coat. Then drop in a quality bedliner. I went with the Duraliner. I drop in whatever I need to at the moment, tools, cable spools, bricks, dirt, tower iron... As far as I can tell, no damage to the bed. A co-worker has a spray-in liner and his truck looks great on the outside... The bed looks like crap.

To each their own, of course...

I'm curious if anyone has thought about throwing some plywood back there in the bed and covering it with some cheap carpet? Obviously you'd have to have a tonneau cover on it.

And it's hilarious you mentioned that as I DID have a stall mat in the back of my Reb before I got the BedRug! Bought it at a local Tractor Supply and it worked great, except the fact that it shed little bits of rubber every time I washed it out. It was nice and heavy, but the Bedrug fits better and looks nice.

That stall mat? It now rests under my Reb in the garage! Oh, and since I have RamBoxes and a short bed, one stall mat did the job of covering my bed...indeed, I had to cut off about four inches of the thing so my gate would close!

I've got the bedrug as well. I've got quite a pack of large dogs and like taking them with. The only complaint is the Velcro tape has "un-stuck" on the tailgate. No biggie, and probably due to improper surface prep during installation

I've done the plywood & rug thing. It held up for about 12 years, but starts to smell after a while.

If you care what it looks like, get the LineX. If looks do not matter, then do it yourself. Either way, I still suggest getting a drop-in or bed mat to put in on top of it to keep the bed from getting dented.

I purchased my 2019 new body stylr in January. It had no bed liner just paint. Found the perfect bed liner with sides, it's by Bedrug.com. Looks and feels like carpet, go to site and buy. I had mine installed, great product, love it

I just slapped two bed mats in mine. I went to Tractor Supply because they had a bed mat for $129.99. When I got there, they had them marked down to $29.99. I went to the Tractor Supply in the next town over, and they had them marked down to $19.99. Double protection for $50.

I used raptor liner (Amazon) with a drop in mat for impact. I work construction and had it in for over a year and love it.

I tested all the DIY beeliners on another forum. Herculiner Roll on Bed Liner won. I dragged a 600lbs axle across it and it only tore some off. The thing about Herculiner is it is the ONLY bedliner that will stick to itself. So if you do get a tear you can slap more on, the others you can't.

So put the DIY on hold for better weather, ordered the BedRug Mat and installed last night. Got the one for a drop-in liner. Fit my Pendaliner perfectly. Really like it. When I do roll on my bedliner later this spring, the mat will fit nicely over it. Just have to find a way to secure it. Velcro maybe....

I recommend something stronger than yhe sticky adhesive on the velcro strips to keep the strios attached to the bed.....something like contact cement or other sticky, pliable when cold, adhesive.
