You know, my dealer is not what I would call "the best". Quite frankly their Sales dept is pretty slimy and most of the Service dept is half-assed, but I've come to the conclusion that the Parts dept is Top Notch. I had no trouble getting my codes (RF, Key & Radio Security), I was not charged for them and they've been more than willing to lookup up parts that don't technically fit my truck.

-K

My local dealer's service department is not very good either, like a 1970's set-up. They are so bad that they can't even register my odometer reading or address correctly. Told me my girlfriend's Jeep needed an AC condenser for $1100 and all it needed was a 1/2 can of 134 in my driveway to fix that over 2 years ago. One day the service writer counter will be in the service bays and the next day they're all at desks in the parts department showroom / customer waiting area (with the customer waiting chairs removed).

But just like kad wrote, the parts department at my dealer is excellent and never are anything less than totally helpful with free pins, codes and part #'s

The dealer I bought my truck from is newer, or at least they have remodeled into the "new look" showroom, etc. The parts department is right off the showroom and is kinda like a gift shop/parts department (you walk through clothing and accessory displays to get to the parts counter). I would expect there I would be charged for my PIN number.

A dealer that is more local to me is like the old 70s/80s setup....the showroom is OK, but parts and service look more like a service station garage setup. It is there where I obtained my PIN for free.

Maybe its just the culture brought about by the overall modernness of said dealer. Fancy look? We get to charge you for everything. Mom and pop? yeah we'll help out the average guy who was nice and just asked a simple question.

No. The 4 digit pin is good for ever. I believe There is a rolling code given to 3rd party businesses for keys

That is correct, the rolling pin expires in 12 hours

What everyone should be asking for is this printed sheet and none of this information ever expires:

DC DealerCONNECT

Key Code Inquiry Results

VIN: 3C6JR6AG1JG#######
Ignition: M14##
PIN: 36##

The pin # is for the RF hub and the ignition # is the key code to cut a key with no duplicate available. All of the filled in numbers and letters above are just for example (except that the ignition will start with the letter M).

Hello all,
Is anyone using fog lights as your drl's? If so, could anyone tell me if they drop out with independently with blinkers or remain on?
Thanks in advance.

I have fogs as my DRLs as well, and they remain on constantly. I have had this setup for about a month or so, and have had no problems as yet,.

Thank you all for the help.
Working out how I want to make drl's work like Arth has with his new morimoto xb lights, except mine are quads and not projectors. Was going to use fog harness I got from M2mods, but if it doesn't drop on blinker, kind of same thing morimoto is doing with fuse tap and making them burn with ignition or whatever. So have a new plan, will see how it works out.

Thanks again

Chrysler Pin Pull app worked great, $15 to get the code. If you can't find a dealer doing it for free.

Factory. And I have searched and searched and have yet to find someone that was able to change the trailer name with the 8.4 Uconnect? Everyone complains about it because it says you can do it in the manual?

.

Have you come across a fix for this issue?

I just installed the OEM brake controller. I can see the controller on EVIC, but nothing on the 8.4 screen. I've enabled and double checked that the 3 trailer CSM's are set to "YES".

Not sure how to get these menu items to show up.

Are you looking on the settings menu on the radio? Sorry if you have checked there just wanted to make sure. If you have already checked I reccomend letting the truck sleep for at least a day if you haven't already. The UAS and UAQ radios take a long time to show the codes when they are added. 0cea31f5ae8bd822e8fcc295029e3f9f.jpg

I just set the "Trailer Name CSM" to Yes and it has been working fine. Not sure why you are not seeing it?
