Oh no doubt. For the alpha obd which link do you use?

Always has been! It is a no brainier to swap radios and sell the RA3...Wow it’s cheaper to buy a new (used) radio with the nav than it is to buy the nav.!

I haven't purchased AlphaOBD yet but that tool is just so darn handy I might just buy it and wait until I need it!Prices are pretty outrageous on eBay for 15+, anywhere from $400-$900.
I really hadn't planned on doing this swap on my 18 (did it on my 2015) but I'm weak did a little searching today on car-parts.com. Came across a 2017 cluster with about a 1000 miles more than my truck. Paid $250 shipped. In the most recent update on alphaobd he added the ability to change engine hours and idle hour's. If he decides to add mileage before I my mileage matches the new cluster I won't have to wait as long to install it. It'll take me about 2 months to match miles.

I'm lying to myself though, I couldn't stop myself from tinkering with things I don't understand if I had it.
Correcting mileage would make that tool amazing!

I emailed Alexey about the possibility of having alphaobd be able to program mileage for our trucks and he said he is currently working on it and should be able to do so soon. I know this is a hot topic but with mileage stored in at least 2 locations for our trucks and companies already having the ability to change mileage I feel this is going to be great news for us. Especially with the premium cluster swap a popular mod and gives you the option of putting your stock cluster back in. Just more savings if he can get it to work.

I've said it before, but it's silly the mileage is still stored in the cluster.

Direct swap from an RA3, yes. Sirius will require a phone call to transfer and Uconnect may or may not allow you to transfer or even activate service. You may have an easier time with Uconnect if your VIN already has their service. The RA4 a direct swap? Will my uconnect Sirius and all still function as expected?

Sirius will transfer the trial for sure... your mileage may vary with Uconnect but that's not much of a loss IMO.I’m currently under a trial. I would expect if they want my money bad enough they’ll do it. But thanks for the info.

I believe telematics refers to the latest UAx radios with Carplay and Android auto. If so, that's not a direct swap but it is possible with more parts.I’m assuming I need the RA4 with telematics, correct?

You're looking for a 8.4 AN VP4 RA4 NA...

I should add if you can get UAS or UAQ at a good price that's probably the route you want to take to future proof your upgrade.I’m assuming I need the RA4 with telematics, correct?

Can you search without selecting that option? Sometimes the salvage yards are wrong. You should always verify the OEM equipment with the source vehicle VIN before purchasing too.Yeah when I search for the radio on car-part the options are telematics (uconnect access), no telematics Sirius and no telematics no Sirius,
That’s why I assumed it was the telematics one.
