Hello,

My 2014 RAM 2500 Laramie has the stock rear view camera with the camera mounted in the latch assembly. Recently and all of a sudden it has become misty or distorted on the 8.5 inch display. The directional indicators appear crisp and sharp but the picture is completely distorted where I cannot make anything out as if moisture got inside of it.

Any ideas you can share? Can the camera be removed and dried out?

Mark

The camera on my wife’s Jeep did the same thing. It has been like that for months now. I was going to replace it in the spring. Unless someone here has a fix.

I get that from time to time. Usually when the temperature drops, gets distorted with wavy lines. Seems to go away by next day.

Thanks for the replies. It still has not cleared up. Very disappointing that I may need to replace that already. Does anyone know if that is a single unit or can it be removed and taken apart to clean it maybe?
