I installed it on my 18 PW. With the 18 you have to install a security bypass behind the radio, which was super easy. I had one on my Jeep JLUR. I need a few things yet so I can install my front camera since I activated the cargo camera input through the Tazer. I recalibrated the speedo for 37s which really helped the shifting. So far, until they add the locker choices, I would say the AEV Procal is probably a better value if you’re just looking to change the tire size and TPMS. You still need to go to the dealer to have TPMS “set”. If you’re looking for adding camera and all the other things the Tazer offers, it’s a much better deal. I will continue to explore the options throuoght the near future and come back and give my opinions. Sorry there are no pictures. It’s pretty self explanatory. I’ll add one just because. Lol

One good thing. Took a quick trip to grand junction, co about 240 miles round trip. What a difference. The shifts are back to normal and I averaged 16-17 mpg at about 70 mph. It drives so much better.

This thing looks cool. I think I’m going to get one.

I mainly want this for the tpms and tire size. I checked out the aev procal and their site says I still have to take it to the dealer in order to complete the Tpms.

Did you do anything else besides plug and change settings for your tpms? My tpms has been since I bought the truck. I have her 2 years now.

Btw, what kinda bar is that on your Pw. I like that
I was looking at the aev procal

Just ordered the aev. All I really want is to disable the tpms and change the tire size.

It can also change the gear ratio. Mine came with 4.10. Is the truck already programmed for the 4.10 or does come as a default 3.73??

Looked at the tazer it’ll be a waste for me. Won’t use any other feature. Found the aev procal for 170 shipped. I’ll put the 80 dollars toward k&n dropin airfilter and new cabin filter.

Btw.....thanks Reuben. I wasn’t planning on spending any more money on this truck.

The bar is Randy Ellis Design. Good choice on the AEV. If that’s all I was going to do I would have gone that way. Much easier to use. Not sure but on the 18s you have to go to the dealer to “set” the TPMS. But you can turn it all off which will take care of it without a trip to the stealer.

AlfaOBD is a better option than both AEV and the Tazer. You can reprogram you're entire BCM with the AlfaOBD.
I would agree but for those not comfortable with it I would say the AEV is the best and simpler option over the rest if you’re just going for the basics.

I have both. I wouldn't buy the ProCal again.

Is the bypass for the Tazer on 2018 models relatively easy to install? Thanks, guys!

Yes. Remove radio then there are 3 screws holding the little security box. Unplug box and keep it somewhere and plug the bypass in. Install everything back and you’re finished.

I have a few questions:

Have you tried the "Fully disable ESP/Traction Control" function? Can you disable everything but ABS?

If you disable Tire Pressure Monitoring System warnings, can you still see you tire pressures on the EVIC dash display?

Is this the cable needed to add a front camera?
https://zautomotive.com/product/video-cable/

Thanks.

I have never tried the fully disable nannie function as I have a switch for that.

If you fully disable the tpms I think nothing shows up. Havnt dont that either. I do know when you leave the unit plugged in, the low pressure light stays off.

No idea on the cable for the camera.

It will fully disable the ESP/TC and leave ABS on. Is there something else that you are looking to shut off

If you disable Tire Pressure Monitoring System warnings, can you still see you tire pressures on the EVIC dash display?

That is a good question, I will check with manufacturer.

Yes that is what you would need.

The instructions say " ABS lights will illuminate indicating that ESP and ABS are shut off" I would prefer it work like you say. Turning off ESP/TC but ABS still works.

Things I would like to able to do:
- shut off Seat-belt reminder ding
- activate the swaybar disconnect in two wheel drive
- activate the rear locker in 2 hi and 4 hi.
-switch fogs and headlights to LEDs so no resistors are needed.

As for the disable TPMS question here is their response

"No, they’d disappear. Or you can use TPMSKill function and change the pressures, that’ll kill the warning light as long as the tires are over the new pressure setting. Requires the tazer stays plugged in."
