You think that Ram's bad, I had a Wrangler and 2 Harleys to throw money at!

Nice new Ram. I keep my ram very close to stock. If I was going to add a cold air intake, it would be the variram from May at Moe's, a preferred vendor on the forum.
[emoji848] anyone know how this intake stacks up with the afe intake?

Should have read Matt at Moe's. All I can say is some folk that have been on this forum for a long time say the varraram works. I would only run one where it doesn't snow. The only reason I don't have one. Not sure it is available for 5th Gen...yet.
After looking at this video I’ll stick with afe. I know it could be installation error on his part but I would die if I found out my engine was sucking in all that gunk.

I’m proud to have my 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie as my first new vehicle, It’s a proud and humbling moment. I picked her up Saturday and I fell in love with it the moment I saw her on the lot.
I’m in the market for running boards, a cover for the back and a cold air intake if they are out yet. Any suggestions would help.

I'll give you some help...Or rather a hint...No such thing as "running BOARDS" (not 1 ounce of wood in them). They're called SIDE STEPS. They're made from aluminum, and even steel I believe. But NO wood
Slightly off topic, but out of curiosity did Ram change the OEM mounts on the Gen 5 trucks compare to the Gen 4's? On the Gen 4's, there are 6 separate mounting points all of which are holes through the rocker panels.I put the Steelcraft running boards on mine. I really like them so far. They have a good step up, feel solid, have good traction, look good on the truck, were easy to install, and cost less than $300 delivered. Here they are on my truck:

I've always taken my running boards off my new trucks as soon as I got them, but if they were wooden I'd probably leave those side steps right on there.
Everyone calls them running boards, get over it.
Wow, they are far from "boards". They're side steps.
