I just bought the Mopar 8" sub enclosure used on Ebay. I'm going to put the Pioneer "shallow mount" in there and an aftermarket amp. For the remote turn on lead on the amp, where is the best place to tap this in to get 12v ignition switched power? I have the non Alpine system if that matters.

What line out converter are you using? Some come with the remote turn on

Rear cig lighter/12v point. Wiring is under driver seat. There is a small cut in the carpet you can you can run the wire under the carpet to the door sill panel. Hidden, tidy, easy to get to. There is one thing it only powers when the truck is on, not remote start.

A lot of amps with high-level inputs also have "signal-sensing turn-on".

I don't think I want to use that feature. I was reading on Amazon reviews that the amp stays in a stand by state and still draws a small amount of power. Sometimes I take Amazon reviews with a grain of salt though. I'll have to check into this further.

One thing about the power outlet on the back of the center console, you can change that one to constant on by moving fuse F90/91. Use the power outlet in the front of the center console.

That’s cool, don’t know why I need that yet but now I need to find a reason! trying to figure out what I would want powered full time. I know there is something but what!
