Man, I’ve considered it. I prefer the Westin HDX rear bumper, but not sure my wife would agree on me snatching the bumper off, haha. I still get questions like “why do you want different door handles?”Do you really NEED that? Hahaha

Shoot me a PM. I’ll at least consider it. [emoji41]
ive got the HDX rear. been sitting in my garage for 2months.....

Oh, sorry. No, I just pulled the drain plugs. I don't know how you would ever drain them with a pump, especially the front. You could never get to the bottom of the dif.
Neither of them looked like they would be too hard to pull off if that's what you wanted to do. But I can't say for sure because I've never done it.

Oh ok. I didn’t realize these had drain plugs. I never did a diff fluid change on my old third gen but the last one I did one on was on the old second-gen Dakota I once had, and it didn’t have drain holes, just a fill plug so, the way to get the old oil out was to either pull the covers or draw it out with a pump. Back one was fine, but the front one was a pain because the rack and pinion was right in front of the diff cover.

Looks real nice! Have to be extra careful with those awnings. The smittybilt one I had lasted me all of two uses before one of the hinges broke. Are the hinges still made of plastic?

I don’t believe so, do you mean the leg hinge?

i’ve already found a spot i’ll end up reinforcing. I put it up in really strong wind to see how it would go. I wanted to get a roam awning...if this one goes i’ll replace it with a nicer quality awning for sure.

Beauty! To me, QC rigs just seem oddly proportioned, so adding a topper really completes the look...nice work, my fellow Texan!

TXCOMT

thanks!

you know I used to think so as well before I had one. i think it has a lot to do with the bed length, i can’t get behind the shorter bed on a crew cab. i’d love to have a crew cab 6’ bed. that’s a great combo. I really enjoy the truck though, and i’ve liked it through all of it’s iterations since i’ve owned it.

Yes the leg hinge. I know the guy I sold mine to was able to find some aftermarket ones made of aluminum

Everybody takes pics of the sides, the front, the back...

(okay, I suck as a cameraman, but this is kind of a first for me - I never knew what the thing looked like from this angle...)

So far this week I hauled off a load of trash to the dump and a load of scrap metal to the recyclers.
Next is letting the wife drive it to work tomorrow. It’ll be the first time she’s ever driven my truck. I’m really really nervous about it too.
Her car is a RAV4...

I love my truck!

I see a bucket to steal. :D

I used it to drop off some strawberry starts to a neighbor the evening before and was too lazy to un-bungee it. :)

I have seen a Shelby F150 at a Cracker Barrel, which is around 110k, but yeah, this Shelby Raptor is the first I have seen around and that pushes 120k

Dude... no effing way am I going to sink half my home's mortgage note into anything that depreciates over time - doubly so for special 'one-off' styles/trims.

I'm quite sure my $22k used 1500 SLT farm truck will still run just as well (and carry just as much, and be just as comfortable) as his $120k ***** ornament... and might even have the same resale value at year 10 (or mile 150k), come to think of it :p
