Does anyone happen to know the part number for the top hats so I don't have to disassemble the stock struts? Id like to just bring the struts to a shop to compress them and install new top hats for me.

I scoured his thread and found the part numbers. I assume they are the same for gas as diesel?
Yep, all the parts cross reference for gas and diesel, the only difference is the spring rates for applications.

Just a heads up it's not cheap, but there's peace of mind knowing it's all new and oem quality. I read there were some fitment issues with the cheaper alternatives so i tried to avoid headaches and having to disassemble.

I tried to do that but I was unable to source the lower spring mounts. I still had to disassemble my stockers.

I bought the KYB SM5580 top and the lower coil seat got me too as it was pictured on carID with the lower spring seat
I will take the credit that carID no longer uses that stock picture and uses the actual product picture now.

That’s fine. I’ll spent the money to know it’s new and not have to worry about disassembling the stock ones. Looked like about $100 per side. I’m still under a grand for UCA and nice lift kit. :)

Ended up being $158.91 for all the parts, shipped, from RockAuto. Will have them April 1st or 2nd. Hopefully Eibach follows through the end of the month and ships the kit out around that time too. :)

Although, now that I think about it....I could not find a part # for the spring perch thing that the coil rests on. Does anyone know if I need that or if the profit comes with a perch installed already?
If I do need it, does anyone have a part #?

The lower spring perch is not available anywhere. I searched high and low. You will need to disassemble your stock struts to get them.

That is a raw deal. I was a really hoping to avoid that. Oh well. My truck only has about 14k on it, so I will probably just reuse everything at that point.

I also looked and called every where and no one knew what I was talking about. When I purchased mine there was a picture of them with the strut like thisupload_2019-3-23_15-10-16.jpeg
When I ordered I specifically asked if the spring perch was included and was assured that it was. So I spent a lot of time talking to carID and eibach trying to get them to send it to meupload_2019-3-23_15-10-16.jpeg

This was the main reason I purchased them also. It was a huge let down for the exact same reason

I suspect that some kits do include the lower mount if the stock one is welded to the original struts. That picture for example is not a Ram strut. That's a whole other kit. They need to use the correct photo on the sale pages.

That is frustrating. Oh well. I had really wanted to avoid taking the extra time to compress and uninstall, etc. Oh well. At least the rear will be easy enough.

Yes I knew they were using a stock photo and not a picture of the actual part I was ordering so I called and asked specifically if it was included and the rep at carID assured me that it was included. Then they sent me the non adjustable version hahaha I didn’t even know that made a non adjustable model.

Thanks for all the great info guys.

I've been following and reading everything I can on these struts and coils for our trucks, but I've got some questions with no answers, hopefully you guys can help.
My plan is to get the full Eibach kit and run it at 2 3/4" & 1".
When I measured the height of my truck which is a 2011 Laramie CC the measurements don't seem to match others.
I got LF 38", RF 38 3/8", LR 40", RR 40 3/8" ground to fender.
Almost 2" higher than most other peoples.
Does this seem possible?
With these measurements am I to expect less lift from the kit?

Also my guess is the 2 3/4" estimate is for RCSB, I imagine a crewcab would be slightly less?

Thanks ahead of time!
