Got my adapters today from Kyle! So nice, quality stuff! Thanks again!

So I ordered a Case of Amsoil SS Multi-Vehicle ATF, and 2 EA15K13 filters. Should be enough for the fluid Pan and filter change. Also ordered a case of their severe Gear 75-90 for the diffs.

Only thing I need now is the PML pans and diff covers, and the sump filter for the trans, which I’ll buy direct from the dealer here.

After this @Nick@GotExhaust is going to get an order from me for a solo performance muffler delete, S&B intake, and probably an Edge Pulsar......just need to space it out so the wife doesn’t kill me!

You’re changing your gear oil when you’re about to do a gear change?

Nick Kyle has the dope on something you mught be interested in. Bulk threads for rfe trans, bulk cost is about 5 bucks unit, sells for 19,99 all day long. He sold ten in about ten seconds. I know there are more guys that NEED this product. Perfectly replaces that plastic garbage with metal.

No, just cheaper to get it all now, and get the cheap shipping. I’ll do the Diff covers and fluids when I get the gears.

Have to do it piece at a time, if I went and spent $3500 on gear swap all at once, it’s be the last $3500 I ever spent!! LoL wife would bury my ass in the yard!

I figured I’d buy the Nitro kit with their gear old and use that for the break in then switch to the Amsoil, is that what you did?

My installer gave me two choices

Royal purple and schaeffers

RP gear oil is complete garbage

So i went schaef for the first 500. Then Filled both with redline 75/140. Then drained the rear differential again about 1000 miles after that. The dealer drained the front and put mopar back in sometime in between those two doing some kind of inspection because they’re ******* idiots.

Then my crazy ass drained that after a couple hundred miles and put redline in the front again

75/140

Any reason you went with 75-140 vs 75-90?

And 75/140 will always provide better protection. Unless you live at the arctic circle.

Well that makes it easy, was there something you didn’t like about the S&B which is why you changed or just wanted a Vararam?

On the 5.7 it's a HUGE pain in the ass to take it off to do anything on the engine. Like even get to my catch can it wasn't easy. The older version of the 5.7 S&B intake was a better design because it came apart at the filter box making it easier to work on the engine. But they discontinued it.

Anyways the 6.4 version is nice tho you'll like it.

That makes sense, I’m looking forward to getting all of them.

Totally up to you bud. 75/90 will protect it fine. People go for WAY longer than they should and get a long long life out of their trucks with zero gear issues.

But i like a bit more viscosity. AAM themselves said 75/90 will be perfectly acceptable towing over loaded in the hot Arizona desert.

But 75/140 will do it better[emoji2957]

Tell ya how ate up I am. :Plugged:

I chose to run a combo of
2Qts- 90wt & 1Qt- 140wt

I might do this more often once I install my PML cover.
All depends on which RV parks we choose to visit & their distance to & from. Also the weight of the new TANK of a RV - The Wife Selects.

I was told by a AAM rep - That 75W-90 synthetic is all I would ever need too run in my 11.5" - but I as always love a little overkill protection!
Might choose to run a 50/50 combo.

Yes! I do like stepping way outside the box! :badidea:

It would through - be very interesting to have a accurate reading of the rearend temps & experiment with the 3 different viscosity.
But I really have enough already to be concerned about & attempt to monitor.

Redline makes 75/110. I think amsoil does too.

You could always have PML drill and tap you a temp sensor port on the cover, and get you a gauge!

What's the reason for the run on RP 20-820 filters
Thanks

They are most likely (i hope we are wrong) stoping all Royal Purple oil filter production.

I just ordered 20 filters because they are getting scarce real fast. The website I ordered from had to reach out to 4 different vendors just to fill my order. I got 4 tracking numbers coming from different places.
