Has anyone ever removed the bed on a 94 ram to change the fuel pump I heard it was easier instead of dropping the tank

Overall, it's easier to remove the bed. As long as you have the area and tools to do it. It basically just lifts off the body.
If not, I'd suggest getting the tank as light as possible, balance, and drop it slowly.
I wish 2nd Gens came with an in-line fuel filter.

When I did mine last year I used 4 ratchet straps up to the rafeters in the garage then lifted it up about a foot and then rolled the truck ahead 2 feet easy pezy.
