Air bags or Timbren kit for the 2019? I'll be pulling a camper. If you prefer air bags what brand did you go with? What is everyone's opinions?

If you're hauling or driving long distances, I would avoid Timbrens and install what you need.

my son put air bags on the rear of his 2017. cost about 100$ no onboard compressor, just routed the fill stem to the rear bumper. easy to do and he just adds air when he is going to tow. I may do that to my '19 just to firm up the rear end. my travel trailer only puts about 650# on the hitch per cat scales so rear end doesnt settle much when trailer hooked on but does have some wiggle on some roads or when I have some gusty cross winds. I also put the Helwig beefier sway bar in place of stock. I would recommend the bags.

I have had good luck with both Air Lift and Firestone. I run air lines to the rear bumper and put two fill valves in the bottom license plate mounting holes. I then put a cross over line with a valve between the two so I can fill or dump either bag or both at the same time.

Love my Firestone 5000s but it's not really the brand I care about.... it's the concept of the bags. They really stiffen up the hinge between truck and trailer or 5th wheel. Also, super nice if you ever need to load up with gravel or building materials. As all the weight Nazis are quick to point out, bags don't increase your payload and that's true. But they sure do make life up near the max a lot more manageable.

The main thing is the ability to adjust the psi to fit your situation. Timbrens are just a one size fits all approach.
