I know it's just simple math, but seeing an estimated range of 660 miles is still pretty cool. I took my first road trip in the new Ram this week; Houston to Dallas and back. Wouldn't need to refuel if you timed it right. I still had to make restroom stops though. Wait, TMI? The truck was excellent on the highway, flat enough to light up the Eco light at 80 mph ... That light is on a lot. Another first for the truck today > First oil change. The dealer was surprised I wanted oil and filter done at 1,000 miles. I know things have changed, but the old school part of me still frets about 'break in' oil staying around too long. Really liking this truck!

There are many people on here who would’ve averaged 11mpg on that trip [emoji23]

I hear you there! I was going easy, cruising at "Not me, Officer" speeds. I read a lot of complaints about the MPG ... But mine averaged nearly 19 over the first 1,000 miles. I calculated it manually as well. My first Ram was an SRT-10, and it struggled to get 10. My supercharged Viper rarely sees 8. So this new Ram seems like a gas saver to me!

I have about 4000 miles on mine now. made two trips from DFW to new mexico and back in the last month for some skiing and averaged 18 on both trips. cruise at 78. saw the eco light every now and then. nice to go from here to Springer before getting fuel.

I was surprised to see my Eco light on more often than not when I was on the road. Benefits of flat portions of Texas perhaps. Cruise set at 80 most of the way. Seemed the 3.92 rear liked that speed just fine. Now if I could cut down on pee stops, I could make even better time with that big fuel tank!

Either you had a good tailwind or you have one of the very few Rams that get good mpg @80 mph and esp. with 3.92's - very few with that combo will get 18 mpg on the flat, let alone any higher.

I just went from PA to CO and back @ 74 mph was lucky to get 15-16 mpg most of the time any higher mph and I was down in the 13-14 mpg range - winds were a killer. I also have 3.92's.

Might want to keep that one :)

Flat and wind-free both directions. I wasn't romping on it, but did vary the engine speed now and then since my brain was in 'break in' mode. The truck seemed to prefer 80 mph to 70 mph ... Wasn't expecting that with 3.92, but respect it has 8 speeds to work with. Keeper!

I have just made a trip from Rocky Mount North Carolina to Raymondville Texas with my Ram 2500, 6.4 hemi. Fuel mileage(hand calculated) Rocky Mount to just west of Florence South Carolina 16.3 miles per gallon. East of Florence South Carolina to Newman Georgia 18 miles per gallon. Newnan Georgia to Mobile Alabama 18.3 miles per gallon. Mobile Alabama to Jennings La 16.5 mpg. Jennings La to Wharton Texas 17 miles per gallon. Wharton Texas to Raymondville Texas 17.2 miles per gallon. I had my cruise set on 68 mph. It will be interesting to see my mileage when I head back to North Carolina. I know If I run 75 mph the fuel mileage is probably going to drop the 15 miles to gallon. I don’t think that’s too bad for 2500 crew cab. Of course I think it’s weird I got better gas mileage and the Rolling hills of South Carolina and Georgia that I did on the flatlands of Louisiana and Texas, Where my gas mileage was at the lowest I did stop at pilot stations for gas.
