My reasoning was for the UCA as well. But with so many running at the max without issues my luck I would have problems. You wouldn’t think that .7 would be a big difference but I wish I would have done it in the beginning and if have to add a rear spacer so be it. Oh well

I have had my truck 2 years and I’m still on the fence when it comes to it. I’m probably going to get the bils this summer lol. 2.1 is what I’m going with as I’m 100% NOT going over 33” which is stock. I’m worried 2.8 will look weird and also, I want to keep my stock UCA’s for
The time being. I want subtle. I strongly
Believe what they look like with 2.1 is what they should look like from stock. I HATE how low my truck looks. Drives me crazy lol. Anyways, rant over [emoji1787]

Have you measured the distance between the ground and the upper wheel well to find the difference between the front and rear yet?

You could do 2.8 and if it makes the nose too high for your liking you could add a spacer to the rear to fix it.

I measured but can’t remember I wanna say there was a 3” difference from rear to front. So 2.1 would be close to level but I like a bit of rake for looks and should I put weight in the back or tow a trailer. Decisions decisions lol

Just installed Bilstein 5100s @2.1 along with 275/65/20 Toyo Open Country at2’s and nothing in the back on my 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4. Love it! There is an ever so slight rake—pretty level.

Looks great and the setup I think I may go with on my Laramie. Do you have a side profile shot? Is the tire flush with the flare?

I swear I hate seeing the trucks with the bills at 2.8. I wish I would have maxed mine out from the get go. Now when I get time, I get to spend the weekend tearing everything out again and moving them up. You live and learn I guess.

I debated it for months (2.1 vs 2.8) and being the cautious and conservative guy that I am, I went 2.8. Figured if the Ball joints separate that's a good excuse to swap out the UCA's anyway.

Good call imo [emoji106] I set mine to +2.8" about 55,000 miles ago , I installed Mevotech UCA's at the same time ...no issues so far a and I run off road pretty hard at times .

All right Lake!
Looks good and is nearly exact to what I want to do, except that I think I'm going to go withe the Eibach struts/springs up front, set at 3.5" if I can.
You like the RL UCAs?
Did you have any issues getting a good front alignment after the mods?
How is the ride on the road/highway, pretty close to stock or pretty rough?
I have the same long bed crew cab except I have the side steps; I'm looking for a little more clearance for them and to level the whole thing a bit better. Current/stock config. I have 2.75" difference from front to rear...

Finally got a chance to get the truck cleaned up after the 5100 install. Set them at 2.1" and i think it set just about right. 2.8 would have been better for when bigger tires come but not really wanting to touch the rear and not a fan of the front being higher.

I have a set for your crew cab, Chrome with all the hardware used in great condition
Shoot me a PM with pics and prices.. I already ordered a set but can still cancel. I did order black ones tho, not sure how they'll look on the silver truck but they tuck up to it nicely.

Noooooo, leave her alone she looks great. Those things are fugly ass crap.
Thanks.. If it was just me I would leave it but my wife is a foot shorter than I am and I have 2 kids. The kids had a tough enough time getting in when she was stock.

Troutman, NICE!
I wanna do nearly exactly the same thing to my 2016 (lifted 2.75-3.5", keep stock wheels with slightly larger tires).
What size meats are those Coopers?
How many miles on those tires? You like 'em so far?

The coopers are 275/65/20. I really like them so far. I have put all of 150 miles on them at this point. But, they are just as quiet as the SR-A's were but they are quite a bit heavier. I lost a couple MPG on my fuel economy on the highway but as long as I am gentle in town that makes up for it. The tires have a 60k mile tread warranty and they are an LT tires so I imagine they'll last at least 60k on a half ton.
