Just had dealership reinstall my Bilstiens 5100 because they put washer in wrong place, managed to figure out what size top lock nut is it’s a M12x1.5 , used zinc grade 8.8, think this nut grade is suitable? Also is it normal for them to settle a 1/2 inch

It's normal for most suspension items that use a coil spring to settle some overtime.

If the washer is wrong you need to get it fixed. From there settling will happen if the truck is newer. If its older the springs should have already settled as much as they were going to. I can tell you my 2014 was the same height the day I traded it in as the day I had the shocks installed.

Don’t have any pictures but they were installed wrong. My Bilstein have settled in and are about 1/2 inch lower now. Didn’t think they would settle that much maybe should of had them set at 2.8 instead of 2.1, but still looking like big difference from stock height. Hopefully I can figure out the rear lean

Three years behind ya but I have that rear lean issue. Did you ever figure out a solution? Hope you're still active here!
