I was also checking the rear long travel kit from Dirt King, longer sway bar links, adjustable trackbar, no drop relocation bracket, upper/lower arms, bypass King shocks, straps, progressive coil springs, etc. you would think they know a thing or two about racing parts. I like the kit simplicity, wish we would have a better front lower control arm where mounting hyd bumpstops will be possible.... there is a lot I’ll have to change if I go with their racing long travel lowers :)

I’m ordering the Bwoody trackbar this afternoon.

The dirtking rear set up does look like it could handle a beating but they advertise only 12.5" of wheel travel. With my current setup I measured 11" (that was flexed out measuring the difference from each wheel. So for 2k you gain 1.5"?? hmm if you plan on going full out for the rear would be better off converting to coilovers mounted to a bedcage and adding bypasses back there. Checkout gorracing.com, heavy on the wallet but it'll put you at 26" of wheel travel.

I think as long as you can weld/bolt it it to the frame you'll be ok. The factory rear bumper seems to be made of aluminum foil so the bumper itself wouldn't hold the tubes and spare.

No way id attach it to the bumper itself. The latch side would probably be fine but not the main supporting body, I'd have to cut an opening and have the mount run through to the frame. I have some ideas floating around

Just a side note i kicked out on black ice going 120km/hr on the highway a couple winters ago and tailwhipped a brand new ford escape. Caved the entire rear quarter panel and door in on the ford and my bumper had a little paint transfer off their suv and my tail light lense cracked. $4500 in damage on theirs and i wiped the paint scuff off my bumper and replaced the light.

I dented mine when I bumped into a tree lol. Than again I'm not planning on bashing into things with this truck so it will suffice per se and is easily replaceable. Kinda disposable per se

So nothing crazy happening here as of recent. Trying to get my apprenticeship finished, running a job at a chemical refinery and working on the house has consumed my life. Just basic mods I finally got around to doing.

Mbrp installer series 3.5" muffler delete in prep for a future delete. Plus it made so much room underneath it for future things. Plus it has that bling ass tip!

Did a pad slap as well, super boring but the truck stops finally.

Clocked the drivers coil to see if removing the bow in the coil helps with the drivers lean that won't go away, haven't measured and been too tired to care.

Front Bumper and dropping down to 285/75s in the near future along with my tuning upgrades once I get this settlement money.

Figure a decent before and after were in order.

As always nick@gotexhaust, I tip my hat to the awesome service he provides on a regular basis. Ironed out a shipping issue without a worry. Pics to keep you hooligans happy. cd435c9802786e43ddb8fb54f06f65ff.jpgab51c2ea69829d746c7163278ac81e18.jpg81ddbef1d725210c44e8f9643144d550.jpg2a66e2c2ae9023ef74cdc672d3e88162.jpg2aac06c7f5bcc3e935e4d1f2cccc7bb5.jpg3ae5b1f73c6b048cfd838b4f9afb4601.jpgd6668a3f42abce4a66a23c5d4b2b3781.jpga9e73fd7aa0b80f5a3b6ce37bec3374a.jpgcbba17cd11cc7ec58ccea748c557d956.jpg333b81aef60355d787d9c15aa0b29eef.jpg

I know I’m late but I was just reading how you extended yours. I was thinking about doing my fronts instead of using the extensions that came with my lift.

Thanks! I had all intentions to do a full length extension until I couldn't get the bushings out. I held the extension about 1-2" from the bushing end iirc. I just ran a split down one side and got a full length weld on the splices to be safe. Should be good as long as I don't side load the sway bar links. It would surely fail at the end of the splices if it were to be loaded other than how it is. I need to get around to doing a better version, as these are a trial run, but time is precious recently. As always adulting

What's the measurement in all 4 corners ?
I think i posted a spacer wedge you could use ? if not, here you go
https://www.quadratec.com/products/...868133:pla-774719440797_dev-c_ext-_prd-139998,
Should give you the 1/2" you have now in the rear driver side, and will remove most of the bow from the spring

So here's the thing. I measured from bump pad on the rear axle to the lip on the bump stop cup, used the 2 holes in the axle pad as point of reference each side. Passenger is 6 3/8 Driver is 6 1/4"

Measure from top lip of center cap opening in each wheel to fender and it showed 1/2" difference side to side at 23.5 pass/23 driver. Clocked coil, adjusted the spacer I have in the rear, bow was gone, and it sits within an 1/8" side to side. Weird.....

Why the fender measures so far off from the actual axle to frame is beyond me.....i took all my measurements with a full tank so aside from me being in the truck it sits pretty true. Got crushed with a thunderstorm so I couldn't remeasure the axle to frame with it level. I'll do that tomorrow. As of now I'm done messing with it, I'm gonna try and load a full size spare at some point to a swing out and keep it biased to passenger side. If my load out continues to get heavier I'll have to look into different multi-rate coils anyway since these bilsteins are oem soft and sag pretty good. It's a bit of a nit pick but I notice stupid **** like the lean. Trying all the free things I can first.....lol

That MBRP exhaust was worth it just for the weight reduction!

Needed tires bad, like yesterday bad. 315s were just to much for the stock 17s and they wore retarted and would toss a balance about once a month. Wanted to hold out, but I wasn't keen on dropping 1k right now for tires, and I don't have free time for a couple weeks. I just wasn't gonna wait that long, the ride was bad.

Scooped these grandpa tires off Facebook market for 650. Tires are like brand new, tho they are super lame street tires. Not sure if the seller nabbed the tpms sensors or if I need to have them set to register to my truck, but they won't read psi. I'll get that and a fresh tire balance done soon and be set for a while.

LAME I KNOW, but for what I'll be seeing with this thing the 20s won't hold me back, and the size options are right where I wanna be. Not sold on the look, but it's whatever.

Little back story, I had an EPA mandated ECM update, similar to the VW debacle a few years back. I get some compensation but man this new tune is the SUCK. Lost what power I though I had and was always hogging the truck on the highway to hold speed. 35s were too much, so a narrow 33-34 is my end goal. Immediately the truck drives incredibly better, so that is worth it alone. Moving forward eventually I'll get better tires on there with some cool factor, but function over form. It is what it is sometimes with life. f0727bc5c53b54b7784aecfae425de55.jpg6409b4818507a109707ad8cafa5674cf.jpg

I'd get a tune and roll back that EPA garbage as soon as fiscally possible IMO. That being said out here the state inspection doesn't include any sort of emissions checks... at all. Unless you live in one of the overpopulated ****** areas where all the "new Texans" are moving to.
