I have just replaced water pump, fan clutch, and did a full oil change with mobile 1 5w30. I then replaced the exhaust manifold on the passenger side where the sound is louder . Still have the driver's side to do .

I believe the sound is louder then before the oil change . I read that Royal Purple can help with this but it's certainly not going to eliminate the sound .

When cold, if I give it some gas, it will temporarily go away for 10 seconds or so and then come back. When warmed up, it's always there .

That's one of the more pronounced " Hemi ticks " I've heard.
Mine was mild in comparison and completely went away with 5W30 high mileage Valvoline synthetic.

Also try better fuel grade and or quality fuel additive like Techron to eliminate any spark knock that may be contributing.

Haven't used any additives, but do use 93 octane which is the highest available here without going to a specialty station

I could be the wrong gasket. After installing new exhaust manifolds I had a very loud tick/tap on the front passenger's side, it turned out the gasket wasn't sealing the EGR hole. I got the correct gasket from the dealership and now it's quiet as can be. In my case you could feel the air escaping out of the front of the manifold with your hand.
