So far I’m loving this hemi! I’m getting around 14L 100km mixed driving and a trip to the cabin was 12.8L. Rpms stay low as the engine smoothly climbs to speed effortlessly. I was wondering how the 20” wheels with radials will effect this. I already have a jacked Chevy that drinks fuel. I’m so impressed with what I’m getting with this hemi I’m second guess if I should poke and awake the fuel drinking dragon. Lift and aggressive tires are off the table right now as this is really the wife’s truck. But how will the 20’s be compared to the 17s?

Search what's your best mpg lots of posts over there. I have a 18 crew cab 4x4 with 3.21 gears of I drive normal I get 20ish combined per tank. I have gotten over 26 per tank trying really hard. I do mostly highway driving. I have a muffler delete and a vararam. Its actually a tick better mpg over stock if I stay out of it

Rim size doesn’t affect fuel economy ... Tire diameter, weight, and width do ...

What he ^^ said. Also keep in mind that unladen, you'll get great mileage, but the moment you start towing stuff...

The tires design is a large factor for rolling resistance. The stock 20'' SRA tires on my 2018 have very low resistance and this translates into better mpg and I get 22 to 25 mpg with my 3.6. Last winter I put on a snow tire that was not real aggressive tread wise and ran quiet and smooth, traits I was willing to give up the extra traction of a pure snow tire for. Now this dropped my mpg by almost 2 and if I had put a real aggressive tire on it would have dropped the mpg more and with 4wd adding 2 more tires this would make it a big hit on my mpg. I'm guessing your in the frozen north by your use of the metric system so snow tires might be on the tire menu and my point is 17'' or 20'' really does not make much difference compared to the construction of the tire keeping in mind if you change overall diameter this must be accounted for. I really like my stock SRAs for everything except for snow and I doubt I will find a tire that will beat them for mpg and I also like the 20'' wheels and unless your driving a 2500 or 3500 I would not hesitate to go there. Choose your tires wisely.

Not accurate??

Not terribly, no. More accurate on highway runs that around town. But it's good to watch to see how driving style affects mpg.
