Decided I wants a Rebel. A used one for now. What year is the one that is best? Is the 6.4 available? 5.7 will do. What transmission is toughest. I will be towing a small travel trailer.

If you want the 6.4 you would need to get a power wagon. 19’s have the 8 speed trans. Mine can tow 11k with the 3.92 gears. Even the power wagon doesn’t tow quite that much. Not sure what the 17’s and 18’s tow but they have the 6 speed.

Thanks for input Brazen. I have the Power Wagon. I am very happy with it. The Rebel would be for wife. Any one with anything else?

I have a 17 Rebel, 5.7 and 3.92 very happy with it.

6.4 not available in the Rebel. I tow an enclosed 7X14 with dual axles no issues.

Mine is the “Black” edition, no red in the interior and the front skid plate is also black in color

If I'm not mistaken, '16 was the first year for the Rebel. It was the step up replacement for the Outdoorsman package.
If it has a shift knob, it has the 8 spd. The 6 spd transmissions use a column or console shifter.

My bad. You guys are right. The 8 speed came out in 2014. And the Rebel was introduced in 2015. So I think the only changes to the Rebel in 2019 was cosmetic changes, available E-Torque, and maybe the E-locker? Is there anything else I am missing?

They dont have the option for the 6.4, and they all have the same trans. I personally would only do the ‘19. And I would not get one with the air suspension.

I have never seen one with no red inside. I know the leather package gets rid of the red seats, but there is still some *** red trim around.

Your saying you have no red inside yours? What year?

I have a '17 with no red inside. 5.7, 3.92 gears and absolutely love it. It has the 8-speed transmission that all Rebel's have.

Shouldn't have any issues towing a small travel trailer.

Get a 16-17 or 18 used if you want...the 2019 has cosmetic changes along with headlights and possible eTorque as was mentioned.

Hm. Must be the older ones. All the 19’s have red inside. Drives me nuts. My salesman said nothing they can do about it right now, although may be able to order the 2020’s without red inside.

I have a 17 with no red. I personally think that color red is hideous...... and it would bother the **** outa me if I had a red truck. They are not even close to matching. So when I found mine I jumped on it479181f8eb65229ac7c996b4929a8764.jpg20180709_172212.jpg20180709_172326.jpg

I have the 17 Rebel with no red trim on the interior, 5.7L and 3.92 geats . I pull a 22.5' bay boat. Pulls the boat flawlessly. Also have the air suspension with zero issues.

I have a 19 Rebel with the Leather interior. It still has red on the door panels and accents around the Nav screen. It does not have the red on the seats like the Cloth/Vinyl version. The red on the door panels is somewhat subdued and not a bright red. I do not have pictures of the interior right now but can post some later.

Sorry, just seeing this.

Yes, mine is a one year option as far as I know called the Black Edition. No red anywhere in the interior. All badges and front skid plate also black.

They do offer the Rebel without the red accents inside now.

I have the 17 Rebel 4X4, 5.7, 392 gear. No red in the interior. I pull a 22.5' bay boat. I do have the air ride and love it. When I pull my boat, no sagging what so ever. I have 42K miles on it with zero air ride issues. Now, the water leaks are anther issues.
