Just took a look there’s a little gap between the control arm and they said no rubbing on anything while turning so gonna go ahead with all 4.

They said maybe if I was doing some off roading and cut it real hard then maybe it would slightly rub but with the control arm moving with the tire shouldn’t be any issues at all.

Guess we’ll see. I’ll share a pic when they all mounted!

Yep I went from the P to LT so lookin forward to seeing MPG change hah. Shouldn’t have to worry about the speedometer/odometer as goin with 55s instead of 60 changes it by maybe 0.5 MPH +-

I was under the assumption that tire pressure would be higher but they put the stock tire pressure in of 40 (or at least that’s what it was after I realized it).

Of course the aggressive tread grabs rocks like no other, they sound like missiles going off haha.

But the ride is smooth as butter can’t hear any noise and the braking has improved tremendously! Got the look I was going for and overall more safe and benefits from buying from them and can’t forget the savings!!!!!! What a steal and a blessing it turned in to today. Thanks for all the help/suggestions/support guys, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have had any luck in my search!!!

Looks great! You will really appreciate the grip compared to oem tires.
As for tire pressure, I run 47psi cold. You will want to chalk test your tires. Its pretty easy and will give you a baseline for even tire wear. Theres a great video on it on YouTube and this forum has a thread with a link somewhere.
Your LT tires have thicker everything so it does affect air pressure versus a P-rated.

Thank you!!! Yea I’d warm pavement braking stops on a dime and haven’t noticed any skid yet, can only imagine how it’ll work in rain/mud/snow! Can’t wait haha.

Interesting. They said they keep it stock OEM pressure as stated on the door, but makes sense to me for it to have more because it’s a bigger tire which means more inside surface area... Believe I read on the tire it said max of 65 PSI.

Never done the chalk test before but have heard about it for years. Not sure it’ll be the most effective for me as I don’t drive or put the most miles on to get an accurate reading. Maybe a bit more research on tire pressure will lead me to the right conclusion. If I have 40 in now and I think vehicle calls for 38 with these being like 1.5” wider I would assume they should have 45 at least in em.. I have a nitrogen tank so can easily fill with more if need be. Figured they woulda done or mentioned the tire pressure should have more than stock knowing how they’re a tire place.

I have Cooper Discovery 305/55 tires on my 2014 RAM 1500 stock ride. Laramie with factory flares. Tires fit in nice, no problem. The Coopers are 33.25 x 12 W.

If you get Wheel Spacers, make sure they are hub centric. My first spacers were not and they were creaking like crazy. I got hub centric in a month after. If they are hub centric most of downsides are gone. The only remaining downsides is the leverage ratio change to your suspension, and could change the offset to cause rub at the most extreme steering angles. The further out you got the softer it makes your suspension. The rub only applies to some vehicles, and is usually minimal.

The argument it hurts the wheel bearing seems like bs to me. I have been running 2 inch spacers for well over 10 years. I work in marble, so I am always hauling weight. Never had a wheel bearing failure so far. If I do I would expect it now regardless of these spacers being installed.

Truck looks awesome bud.

I run my pressure at 40-42lbs. Seems to be the sweet spot for ride quality.

And you will take a hit on fuel mileage for sure. I'd guess I lost 1.5ish mpg. But you don't seem to put that many miles on so probably not a huge concern.

bilstein 2.8s with 1.5 rear spacers (not necessary) all I did was ziptie the wheel wells back and boil some plastic a little to bend it back no rubbing unless I back up at full lock and it's not bad. 35x12.5 on 20x10 wheels.

Nice trucks!!!

Bad news...

When I left from the tire shop when I posted the pics I didn’t take the highway until this weekend. They were vibrating like CRAZY. Literally my teeth were chattering it was that bad... Looked at the weights and noticed all the weights seemed to be in the back barely any of at all in the fronts...

Just got back from the tire shop and found out that because the 1500s don’t have much weight in the back this is to be expected. They’re apparently mainly for 2500s... They rebalanced them again and it maybe was a bit better but still super noticeable.

Considering this is still a brand new truck I’m not gonna compromise ride quality for the little bit of traction gain.. While I was ABSOLUTELY in love with these super aggressive tires and stopping and rain was so beautiful, I’ll have to lose the $300 savings I had on em and go with something else. Maybe this is why the previous owner ditched them I wonder..

All the guys at the shop recommended and know that Nitto Grappler G2s will solve this issue and still claim it’ll be quiet. So I went ahead and said order em.

Went home and did some research on maybe other Nitto tires, but the others were either too noisy, bad ride quality, or not good in rain or dry pavement so seems like the G2s are the best option.

Same size so hopefully stance stays the same. But nowhere near aggressive I don’t think..

They said Nitto has done something inside with the “ply” to make them not vibrate like crazy, so I guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Both Falken and Nitto have same ply and Falken’s were actually 10lbs heavier per tire. They also claim G2s are so good you barely need any weights if at all, yet the Falken’s I had 2 full rows of weights I guess they were tryin to solve the issue they maybe knew about beforehand..

These new ones are much smoother. Honestly though, the vibration is still there a bit, but nowhere near as bad as it was. The main difference I see is, these corner better, but Falken had much better braking. Haven’t tried these in the rain yet. I’m still a huge Falken supporter and can see myself trying again one day, just gonna stick with these this go round.

My G2’s are great, no vibration at any speed. It may not be the tires causing the vibration, it may be the crappy balancing job the tire place did.... worse case take your truck to a different place and ask them to balance them.

Yea debating it. They scratched the rims inside it looks like 2 finger claw marks in 4 spots on the wheels down to metal so I guess that’s what I get to look forward to now every tire rotation...and will need to spend all weekend removing the weight paper and crap that’s stuck all over inside rim..

Stupid question... this tire is an E rated at 10 ply.. how come I only see on the tire: 2steel, 2 polyester, 2 nylon, 2 sidewall? That equals 8?

read this thread with much interest as i was curious how wide with a 2" lift i could go. i read through all the suggestions on sizes and it led me to wonder, how close to the UCA you guys are comfortable with being? and i don't get how anyone is putting an 11.6" never mind 12" wide tire on these trucks without changing the offset?

here's a pic of mine. stock 20 x 9 rims, 2.1 billy level, stock goodyear SRAs...i measured 1/2" space from the UCA to the bulge point across on from it...

Hefty bulge in your tires, what’s the air pressure? Your tread section width has plenty of clearance, doesn’t hurt to be proactive ordering a spacer if you’re not comfortable with 45-50 psi in the front on a 305/55 or 33x12.5”.
