I had these installed about a thousand miles ago, have used meguiars tire foam a few times to dress them after washing the truck. Does anyone notice that they arent black? I know it sounds crazy but a my tires have brown hues when the sun hits them. Next time i wash and dress ill take pics. But a couple arent black. Bad rubber? Anyone else seeing this? Other than that they are awesome, nice and aggressive looking. But something ain't right

I have had the Falkens for about 15k miles and they look like any other tire I’ve had before color wise.

I put mine on about a month ago, but have not dressed them at all...thanks to the rain. They are black, with no brown or hints of brown.

Try using a mild degreaser before using tire dressing. Tires stain and normal soap won't pull the pigments out of the rubber. I get it alot depending on what kind of dirt I run through. It's normal.

I never noticed discoloration on mine, but I don’t use tire shine. I spray on furniture polish then brush it in. Looks clean, no sling, repels water, and lasts longer. I even wipe my rims with it.

Thanks this tire foam didn't leave the factory Goodyear SRAs brown. Why i was confused, previous vehicles have all had black magic tire spray. I swear a couple are blacker. Ill try get some pics, then try a degreaser

I will say some tires do seem to stain or discolor more than others. I'm sure it has to do with the chemical make up of the tire. I've had a set turn a weird blueish color in a certain clay. Simple green or some other mild, rubber compatible degreaser always removed it and helps clean the wheels. Just don't spray it directly on brake components in case it leaves a residue. I just used a tire brush and sprayed that than scrubbed. Helps to not waste the cleaner as well

I like how that looks. When you say 'furniture polish', are you talking about a spray on one like Pledge?

Yep, but the cheap version of pledge is half the cost and works just the same. It dries as a wax instead of oil or grease. It's what people used way back in the hot rod'ing day's, before tire shine came into existence. You can easily wipe down any over spray with a dry cloth. It goes on 10 times easier than anything else I've tried. The key is to use a long handled brush to get it into the grooves.

At some point in the past my wife found a sale on Pledge. We have approximately a half dozen cans of the stuff clogging up a shelf. I'm going to have to swipe one and try it. Plus, my tires will smell lemony fresh! :)

Watch whatever you use to shine up your tires - some of them will cause premature dry rot! I have been using Griot's Garage Rubber & Vinyl Dressing for years, and the tires don't look too shiny - more like fresh rubber. I like it, and my tires look new.

I never thought to use Pledge on the tires.

I did use it on my quad plastics to keep them shiny and make washing it easier. I have seen old school hot rodders use it as a quick detailer on paint as well.

I still have a can on the shelf in the garage so I am going to give this a try!

Yeah this rain has been unreal, worse than last year and for our area that was our rainiest on record. Drowning on a hill over here (ground is ridiculously over saturated).

I have these tires as well, since February and regularly go through a car wash that hits them with tire shine. I'll have to take a close look at them but I haven't noticed anything odd about the color otherwise.

I use to use tireshine on my old car but I swear they make your tire rot overtime. I believe that brown your seeing is result of that shine.

I have 15k miles on my Falkens and they look like they are brand new. I refuse to use use tire shine based off my previous experience. Not to mention these tires just throw it on the side of your truck when you drive away
