Bought a 2013 ram. 3.6 with the 8HP45. Has 55k miles, so I'm getting ready to change the tranny pan and fluid. It appears that the pan for the 8HP45 is different than the one for the 8hp70. 68142478AB for the 8hp45, 68225344AA for the 8HP70. Some websites seem to suggest that you can use the 68225344AA for either. Will probably play it safe, but I'm wondering what other pentastar owners have done.

This is going to sound dumb, but... talk to the dealership. Sure, they'll try to sell you on having them do it (natch), and some will even lie to you. However, if you know of a dealership you can trust, asking them is no biggie (it's a 2013, so unless you bought and have a mondo-extended warranty, they can't claim warranty troubles too awful much, though double-check to be certain.)
